I was just in a branch, inquiring about a home equity loan. The teller was very sweet, but the individual that she brought me to talk to was pompous and rude. He was leaning back in his chair the whole time, like I was bothering him. He quoted me rates, which were reasonable, but when I asked about monthly payments, the numbers he gave were no where close to what I saw on the website before I stopped by. When I asked about the difference, he had no reason and made no effort to figure it out. He spoke to me like I had no idea about money, even though I told him I am an accountant when he asked if I was employed. I won’t be going back to this organization. Credit unions are supposed to be community focused and helpful but I feel the opposite is true and have been treated with much more respect at the giant conglomerate banks.

I had an auto payment due in June. Prior to this, I had no overdue payments and paid nearly double my payment each month.When I logged into the payment system in June to pay, I was told the system was no longer active and to sign up for a new system. I registered, but the system took TWO weeks to process my approval.During this time, an account specialist had been trying to reach me. However, the bank had been using contact information which I had already told them was incorrect TWICE. Once in person, and once over the phone.When I finally received online payment access I made a payment the following Monday I was able to. At this point the bill had become overdue.Upon hearing a couple days that the bank was trying to reach me, I immediately called and tried to settle the matter.They said it was too late to resolve the missed payment without reporting it to the credit agencies.This is a nightmare for me as I am attempting to close on my first home in a week. This credit hit may ruin my chances. I explained this and begged with the account specialist to make a one-time (my first) exception, but was told there was nothing to be done. I even offered to pay off the entirety of the loan ON THE SPOT.As a previous loyal customer and with plans to keep my future loans at Red Rocks, this has been a nightmare.This ridgid process of a two week turnaround time to switch THEIR payment systems, plus trying to collect the bill at a number I TOLD THEM was incorrect leaves me with this review and looking for a different institution in the future.This is unfortunate as I love the rates and the employees have always been professional and kind, even the collection agent I dealt with.

At first it started out great I was given a low interest rate on my auto loan. Then when I tried other loans they were not given the proper attention.

I am not a member of this credit union, but I've applied for an account with a lady there; she said someone will touch base with me. I waited a day later and because no one called me so I called, spoke to a man, he said he does not know the status, and that he will relay a message for that lady who processed my application. Next day still no call so I called, got a voice mail. Next day, still no call back, no status, no info. This is bad for business! And I would think business is not so good!! Management - if they care, they would look into this. So...to be perfectly fair..I am adding to this review because a senior manager of Red Rocks CU called me very shortly after and she carefully explained what had happened, and partly it was solely due to lack of professionalism from the employees who took my calls. I do not believe it was what the CU stood for. I added one more star because the management cared enough to call to apologize. Thank you.

My husband passed away. He had a wife and 3 kids. He had $100 in his account because he financed a vehicle through here. They allowed me to sell the truck that was in his name because I couldn't afford the payment and when I asked for the balance of $100 in his savings and to close the account out they told me no. They said it had to go to court and open up probate which cost more than $100 to do. There was no will. I had an affadaivit notarized showing there is no money in the estate. Red Rocks never responded to me or followed up. Red Rocks kept the money for themselves. I would never ever do business with them again. Did not have this problem with any other bank or business. Beware!

We received a call from Red Rocks telling us there was possible fraudulent activity on our account in another state. We were asked if the transactions should be allowed to which we responded no. The transactions still went through and now we've been informed that we will have to go through the dispute process with each transaction. To add insult to injury my card had to be cancelled. They said it would be two weeks to receive a new card or I could simply stop by the only existing branch to have one printed. Sadly the branch only has lobby hours while I'm at work so I am now forced to take a day off to regain any access to my money in a timely manner. I've had similar problems with my account at other banks but rarely have had to jump through so many hoops to get back to norm.Update: Someone at the bank reached out to us to attempt to deal with the issue. I've added stars to my review but I still feel like the added attempt to provide a good customer experience should have happened much earlier when we were making inquiries instead of waiting for a bad review and then scrambling.

Red Rocks Credit Union is a terrific company to be associated with. I have had the good fortune of working with their amazing team, and cannot express enough the exceptional service they provide members. They have a courteous and knowledgable staff that are always a joy to work with. In every encounter I have had with Red Rocks staff, they are always looking for ways they can better serve their members. If there is one financial institution I would recommend over the rest, it is Red Rocks Credit Union!

I recently went through Red Rock CU to get a loan and the entire process was very easy going and very professionally handled with the banker. The banker (Sierra) I worked with was extremely guiding and very on top of service with me and my family. The interest rates here are amazing as well as the staff and environment. It’s very confusing how this particular location has so many low ratings. I have found it to be a great, stress-free experience working with this bank!

Terrible service. Very rude and self serving, must be the motto of the entire establishment. Not helpful, not friendly, outdated and overrated. And please don’t respond to my review with, we’re sorry to hear about that, a manager will contact you blah blah. The less I need to interact with this establishment, the better my day is.
