I love this credit union's staff. You get the feeling they are valued by their bosses and not treated like interchangeable parts the way workers in the big banks are treated. They 've always been super helpful and competent.

Stay away from this credit union. I'm giving two stars because the people I have dealt with there have always been really nice but that's where it ends. First off, the online banking experience is absolute junk. If you get locked out of your online banking you have to call customer service to get your account unlocked and to have the honor of being able to change your password. Need your customer number? Good luck. The online banking interface is so unintuitive you'll need to call customer service to find that as well. It will be buried under 4-5 tabs under some inconspicuous title that no person outside of banking could possibly know. (mmic, or maybe was it your rccic number? Who knows, it only makes sense if you are in the industry I guess). And then there is the outrageous loan program. You would think being a customer of a credit union would be to your advantage. That is the whole reason I became a member. But you would be mistaken. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place terrible financial institution.

Advantis financed our trailer and they didn’t tell us that we need to have separate insurance for it and after 5 months we got a letter that we need to pay $5000 for insurance. When I called the bank and asked why they didn’t warn us, hey were very rude and said that it’s my problem and that I should of read all the contracts even though no one warned me about anything having to do with insurance. When I did make an insurance, they still charged me $3000 for the months I didn’t pay. And now my payment is doubled. This is the worst bank I’ve ever worked with, very rude people and terrible customer service. They don’t care about their clients, they just want the money.

Needed to resolve a paperwork issue with my account. Went to the branch as issue required signatures and official photo IDs, etc. There were half a dozen teller windows open & busy with another half a dozen people in line. I was told that in order to meet with an account officer I would have to wait in line for teller....to put my name down on a list....to wait for an account officer? Seriously? I have to wait in the teller line, with all of the folks doing banking transactions....to get my name on a list? For goodness sakes, put in a "take a number" kiosk in the lobby. Or a podium with a notepad and pen and people can sign in like waiting for a table at a busy restaurant. This is not rocket science. I went to the downtown branch where I was helped expeditiously.

I've been banking with Advantis since December 2016. I love that they are open on Saturdays for a few hours, the amazing customer service and competitive rates. I was able to roll my debt into a personal loan and in less than two years I am now debt free. I look forward to the day I can have a mortgage with advantis!
