Feedback:

This review is only in regards to customer service. Everything has been great for the past 10 years and now I've been trying to call and it sends you to a voicemail. I use to call and get a person instantly. This is ridiculous and unprofessional.

Terrible service. I have been calling since last week and they are experiencing phone outages. Finally get through this morning and was told to hold and was sent to voicemail each time by 2 different reps. May still be glitches from the outage but an outage for a week is just unacceptable.

I have been trying to contact them to get an account set up with the new system and no one answers or calls back. My payment was due 10 days ago and still can't get through. I am beyond angry and would not recommend them to anyone!!!

Unfortunately the website upgrade made making a payment very difficult. You have to register your information including your loan number all over again. If you have opt out of paper statements you have to call them to get the info. And their phones are busy because of customers calling in about this upgraded system. Fortunately for me i found an old statement after frantically looking for 3 days. Not happy.

They change online payment systems and then make you create an account in the new system. Unfortunately, the account creation requires information from the old system which you can no longer access. Upon calling them, their phone system is always experiencing an outage.

PHFA loan programs have helped me save thousands for my clients over the last 12 years. But more importantly have made home-ownership more attainable with the second mortgages to help the buyers with closing costs. Looking forward to continuing my partnership with an loan agency that helps first time and second time buyers attain their dreams of owning a home. Thank you for the entire staff who is always willing to help my clients.

This so called business doesn't deserve to be in business. They don't even deserve 1 star. I will be refinancing asap...and customer service is the worst..This place should be shut down and reported to the BBB.

They switched systems September 3rd requiring you to setup a new account in which you need your loan number. However I get paperless billing which means they send you an email monthly telling you to log in and view your account. So how am I supposed to login to get my loan number when I don’t have it to make an account. So I called them repeatedly and left two voicemails stating I need my loan number to set up my account to pay my mortgage but NO ONE returned my calls even after weeks. They claim they have “phone issues” so I even sent them an email with the same information and got no reply. After searching through every piece of paper in my house I was able to find an old tax form with my loan number on it to set up an account. But by this time I was passed the grace period for late payments. I just got a late payment notice in the mail today saying that I will be assessed a $20 late fee. I called again to tell them I will not be paying due to their negligence in returning any of my messages and guess what?! Still no one picked up. Someone has to work there to be sending out late notices. So PHFA, if you see this review CALL ME BACK because we have some talking to do.

Worst Customer Service I have Ever Experienced!!!! If Refinancing wasn't such a hassle and costly trust me I would switch in a heartbeat. I have called 5 TIMES!!! and have yet to get my account resolved. It seems as if they don't know what they are doing. As well as their employees insinuating that I was lying when I clearly had the bank statements to prove my point. I only called to see if I could get a fee waived and instead they reversed my mortgage payment and now my account shows I'm a month behind. if this negatively impacts my credit score. this whole process is not going to have a pretty outcome.

I was able to get through so I am updating this review. Up until this point (2012-2019), PHFA provided a great loan experience. While they have some opportunities with change management, thus far they have been a good organization to partner with and offer a variety of cost saving options. However, I will say customers shouldn't have to give a bad review on Google to get a response from an organization. I'm hoping the organization is learning from this and will not repeat these issues in the future.
