After this past experience with DCU - whom I recommended to a close friend, I will be sure to go out of my way to NEVER recommend your bank to any friends or colleagues again. I am assisting with the purchase of a used vehicle which has a CLEAN Massachusetts title, however it was a buy back in another state 5 years ago. The title is clean and not branded as a buy back. DCU made us go through the entire process, and get approved.. only to shoot it down at the last minute due to the carfax report??!? The carfax report is NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT, many times there are errors. What is a legal document is the CLEAN MASSACHUSETTS TITLE. Your processing team has refused to listen to reason, and has proven to be one step below useless. I would honestly rather finance a car with one of the New York crime families than DCU!!!!

I wish I could give it less then 1 star. This is the worst place to apply for a loan. I applied for a car loan from them. The application process was simple and easy. My credit score is 760 so I got approved and got good interest rate as well. However, to actually finalize that loan, you would need to speak with a loan officer. And that's where this place shows its true colors. Their department extension is 9150 and they never pick up your call. Yesterday I called the loan office to finalize my loan, I was on a hold for 55 minutes but no one picked up. Today I called again and was on a hold for over 2 hours but still no one picked up. I am sick of this stupid place where they don't pick up calls. I am never going to do business with them again. I would recommend everyone to avoid this place. This place is a joke and will drive you crazy. Very unprofessional bank

Tip to everyone Do not share with them for credit i got auto loan with them They're thieves They stole from my account a lot of money everytime they say we charge you fee and when I called them to speak with me in a bad way i told them i work hard and to job to get this money and pay my loan and you guys keep put my loan app i told them i dont stole this money i work and be tire to make this money they say we dont care not good bank im just gonna pay my car than i close my debit and credit card i dont like this bank.

Customer for several years with 3 lines of credit, including an auto loan. My car is in storage, yet DCU mandates that I keep collision coverage. They have waived it for an arbitrary 6 months, but will not extend it. The car is not registered, stored indoors, hasn't seen the road since July, and has a 0% chance of being in a collision. I have offered to provide evidence of this. Even still, the Insurance Tracking department will not waive collision any further. This will cost me an additional >$100 per month, for coverage that CAN NOT BE USED! This extra collision coverage does not impact my DCU loan or payments at all. This extra $100/month has to come from somewhere - how about the monthly payments on my other 2 DCU accounts?

Got a phone call early in the day that i was approved for an autoloan i applied for. Double checked with the person that proof of income was checked and approved. He said yes all is good and they are ready to write a check to the dealer. I told the gentleman i talked the dealer down another 1000 dollars. He told me to just get the updated purchase order and send it to them. And told me my rates, monthly payment, and information about the loan. Went to dealer got new p.o. then called to see where to send it. Was told by a new rep. Where to send and to call back after i did. Did as instructed then called and was told my loan is not approved. Wasted my entire day and energy today. To anyone looking to get a loan here. Please know that you will talk to a different rep everytime you call and apparently they are not all on the same page. Was very excited to get my car today and did not mind the extra 5 hours out of my day it took to finalize the deal and waiting for them on the phone. Turned out to be a waste of time and energy.

Member for about 10 years, financed 2 cars here before with the best rates around, recommended it to many friends, however Went there to refinance my car. I have 770+ credit score. gave me an interest rate of 4.75%. I told my loan officer many credit unions around us have way lower rates (Alfa credit union, Central credit union) as low as 2.25 %. All she said YOU CAN GO THERE THEN. I was shocked. She did not even try to talk to her manager to see if they can give me a better deal.

Dependable experience all around no matter who you work with. I've gotten auto loans here, new debit cards, setup Samsung Pay (similar to Apple Pay), withdrawal, deposits, you name it, and it is always a quick and pleasant experience. I never feel rushed or that I'm a bother. Highly recommend DCU for any and all credit union needs.
