I can't wait till I finish my Auto loan with them, never again. They need more customer care training as well.

I was hoping to open an account but was placed on hold initially And had to wait for a very long period of time. I then learned that the contact center is instructed by management to take two customers at a time (via chat and phone) hence my horrible wait time! I’ve heard other horror stories and other reviews below validate that as well.

I have had 3 auto loans and am currently doing an RV loan with them. They are always AWESOME to work with and have some of the very best rates for well qualified borrowers.

Writing this to offset to nonsensical reviews on here. I've had multiple auto loans with AFFCU and they are always great. I have had some issues, but they have made them right. Still my go to bank for loans. Very friendly staff! I will agree though that some of the logistics or systems they have in place seem to be dated. There have been times when I needed to change checking accounts and you have to fill out a form and email it to them. This is a fairly dated process. I'd like to see the institution invest some money in improving their systems.

Poor consumer relations, non responsive requests, ignorant customer service. I would not recommend this establishment for ANY financial needs!! had an auto loan for over a yr. NO LATE payment EVER. Requested change of due date. They sent form, I sent back immediately and my response was ignored,payment deducted as usual due date. Completely disregarded my request. POOR Poor consumer relations. I would HIGHLY advise to steer clear at all costs! I had a 3rd party shop for refinancing my auto loan, and this is where I landed by default. TRUST and believe I am shopping around to remove my loan from here.

They are stuck in the 70's or something. I financed a vehicle here because of the low interest. I didn't like the way they apply payments. You have to transfer the money from your account 3 days before the day you want it to apply. Their website is so old, it is always a time consuming process to pay the payment. I typically pay more than is due, but they do not apply the additional payment to the next payment like every other bank I have dealt with. I asked and they told me they do not allow an account to be paid in advance, so that was not good. Once you close your account, you will have to write a letter to request them to close the savings account they made you open to get the loan. There are other banks with much better service and a few pennies a year isn't worth the headache.

Been with this credit union since I was a child, my grandfather was the one who set up my account. I remember having such an easy time using the services and being able to call day or night whenever I had an issue with a stolen debit card or locked account. Now God forbid life happens after 5 PM. I hate that when I've lost my debit card I have to WAIT till 9 AM to protect myself or WAIT to 9 AM to access my own balance if I get locked out. What happened to that fantastic customer service?

Been the member for eight years, signed up right out of basic training. Where do I begin? First, the loans - had two cars finance through them, never again. They are stingy and give higher interest rates then other vendors, USAA will give you the money you ask for at lower interest. Second, predatory attitude towards customers. On the second loan I did through them they did not have the proof of insurance they needed. I was deployed at the time they realized it. The car was, of course, insured through USAA. They ended up shutting down all my accounts without emailing me a single time - they tried to call only. I was unable to buy anything for a week. Had to borrow shaving cream from people. The only reason I am still with them is because of all my bills being set up already. Save yourself a LOT of grief and go with USAA.

Anywhere but here, especially for auto loans.They make it so you can't pay your auto-loan from your regular bank account, you have to make an account with them and pay it through that account only. So you already use two direct deposit accounts you will have to drop one to make sure you put money in their account to pay your loan.If you want control of your money, meaning pay your payment when you know you have money, usually after you get paid from work, they will charge you an additional 3.00 for a statement that everyone else on the planet provides for free.Getting an auto-loan with Air Force Credit Union was hands down the worse financial decision I have ever made in my entire life.Be Warned - You Will Regret Doing Business with them.
