Feedback:

Love doing business with Sperry. I've purchased 3 cars with them and refinanced my home. They are great and handle banking the old fashion HONEST way. No extra fees or fancy services. Just solid banking principals and no shoddy products or services. I would highly recommend to a friend.

I can not believe it, a checking account that pays 1.75% and no debit card transactions required. Great place to do banking.

Do not use this bank. Inefficient. Rude. Inconsiderate. Dishonest. Unprofessional. Poor communication. Untrained service. Bad attitudes. You will have to watchdog their every move to ensure the most pedestrian of account services gets amended. Call after call after call after call. Don't expect your issue to be resolved with any urgency. Expect to get strung along for days without any basic insight or resolution. Loaded with excessive hidden fees and deceptive practices. There is zero accountability for back-end failures resulting in your inconvenience.

Sperry FCU is the worst bank I ever did business with. They have no consideration and compassion for their clients. I was a loyal customer with Sperry for many years. I took out a car loan for a little over $28,000 on one car and around $15,000 on another. Through my monthly payments, I was able to payoff the loan for $15,000 and continued to pay for the other car. Then Hurricane Sandy hit my area and damaged my home and cars. We were unable to live in our home for a couple of weeks due to the diaster. At the time of the hurricane, I had about $20,000 left to payoff the car. My insurance stated the car value had depreciate and only pay $15,000 which left a balance of $5,000. Sperry insist I pay the remaining balance. I explained that I'm the sole provider in my family and I have to make tremendous repairs in my home. Sperry did not care. They took me to court for the balance and won because of the "loan contract" . With the amount of time going back and forth to court, the $5,000 increased to $8,000. To date, I am still paying off the $8,000. Sperry showed me no good fair basis due to the hurricane. I will never bank there again.

Few bad experiences but this last one made me write a review and most likely close my account. I had $ 84.75 balance in my checking after depositing with Lisa on 3/12/13 9 am. @ SFCU I have a receipt and it is clearly showing in SFCU website. Sometime after 9pm my wife's cc bill came in for $ 41.00 and eve though I had a positive balance of $ 43.75 after the bill was paid but Sperry Fed Credit Union took an overdraft of - $ 40.00 witout justification and left my account with $ 3.75. I reached out to SFCU by tel and Ms. Nataly did not want to listen to what I was explaining and was very rude on the tel taking over me with no customer service manners. I emailed their rep. Saleh Mezrahi hping for better results to find a quick resolution and I received a reply as follow : " I have forwarded your concerns to our member services department. " Not even a Good morning or a good bye(No customer service professionalism at all). No help. They do not listen to problems. Their management staff is not up to customer service level. I would not recommend this bank to anyone.

Will never do business with them ever again. They lied and told me my account would stay active with just $50.00 in the account and they charged my account dormancy fees until all my money was gone. I had over $100.00 in the account. Never received a letter regarding my account. This place is a nightmare.

I ordered a couple of things from a Saks in Houston and also went into a Coach store in NYC. My transaction was declined in the Coach store. I got back to my office and Saks security was calling about my card being declined. No attempt was made to verify my identity in the Coach store. I received no phone call & no email that my card has been put on security hold. I contacted Sperry who gave no apology for the inconvenience or embarrassment, just reactivated my card. Not an acceptable process.
