This office was very polite, however the Parkside Credit Union as a whole has been disappointing. No consideration for their members.

They love to over draft you at 9 pm at night. But that don't make yall a real credit union when it should be better than a bank

I've had an account at Parkside for 13 years. I recently went to cash in EE series bonds (which I had done before with no problem), only to be told they could not cash them and I would have to have every single bond notified and sent to the US Treasury (which would be $260 before shipping). Instead my husband added me to his Community Choice account and they cashed then there, wjere they informed me that Parkside DOES have the ability to cash US EE Series bonds. I will be leaving the institution and going to Community Choice.

***Sorry for my rant***I went to pay my phone bill and MetroPCS' computer glitched and tried charging my account four times which would've cleaned me out but PCU froze my account and put it on hold, I'm grateful for that. The part that irks me is they didn't take my money off hold when they said they would which made me late on my rent, my phone is shut off, I have no food and I almost missed a callback for a job I applied for. I can't get ahold of them about it bc apparently customer service stops when the bank closes, I can't get info from my card or anywhere else. The bank is closed til Tues, I don't have a car to go to Livonia, I don't know what to do about my bills. I'm obviously upset at this point and Metro and the tellers at PCU were too busy pointing fingers instead of getting to the bottom of things and giving me an informed answer to reassure me. The only reason I won't say I hate PCU is bc of Lynne and one other teller (I wish I knew her name she's the lady w/glasses) in the Westland branch who were the only ones through all of this to contact Metro and try to go to bat for us which was awesome and I'm grateful for them. Unfortunately, they weren't there today so nobody helped me, I'm still waiting for my money to be realeased back to me after the time line they gave and I'm having a panic attack.

I recently applied for an auto loan at the PCU and friendly staff were able to accommodate my availability to come in and take care of the formalities. The process was very smooth and the Loan Representative was very helpful and informative in taking me through the process. They were also helpful in setting up my online account. Throughout the process the representative was very friendly and did not rush me through the process. I would recommend this bank to anyone seeking an auto loan without the hassle of the process.

This is the WORST Credit Union i ever dealt with i fail to respond to their phone call about a Gps tracker and they just call up a tower and repo my car and then they didnt even pay for the tow truck i had to altogether i had to pay 650 they didnt even want to break bread or waive the auction storage or tow truck ill never finance nothing from them again

They have gone down hill since the merger. They will not give you information on board members . They respond with let's see how we can help you . Contact us at whatever email . They are supposed to be member owned but now ran like a crooked bank. Possibly reporting to a governing body above them. I think an audit should be done

Parkside Credit Union is the worst bank/Credit Union I have ever used and I have used many. First off their app is absolutely terrible and it's always down or unavailable. Their mobile deposit sucks and its extremely difficult to get ahold of anyone in this bank after branches are closed. Trust me go elsewhere there are so many better banks and credit unions out there. I thought Parkside would be convenient for me since I lived down the street from a branch but it has been nothing but a hassle since I joined and I will be closing down all my accounts very soon as I have been very pleased with DFCU so far. P.S this review has nothing to do with this branch. I am simply providing a review of this credit union as a whole . I honestly really have nothing good to say about my experiences with Parkside.

Erroneous fees! Customer's BEWARE! They've charged me over 1,000$ in fee's over the last year, and with MOST banks they'll work with you on fees if you have direct deposit, online banking and do most of your banking through them, Parkside just told me "Nope we don't work with fees" and clipped my debit card right infront of me.. RUDE.. They almost wrecked my honeymoon aswell because my card wouldn't work and we we're in another country.. DO NOT BANK HERE!

Over the last 3 months any messages I'd leave for the staff went unanswered. Left another message last night, figured they might be busy, called and immediately got a member service representative on the phone. A second overdraft fee was processed on my account this is something she swears has always been policy, yet after going through my records I find no indication this has happened in the past 3 years I've had an account with them. I used to recommend this credit union to everyone, but customer service has dramatically declined. When I told the representative that I felt I'd need to close my account with them she basically just said that's my choice and that there was no one else I could contact further to discuss the matter.
