I have had some problems with a few companies and the BBB has helped me resolve my problems. I would highly recommend them. If it was not for the BBB I don't know what I would do. It has been effective in reaching a fair resolution between me and the company.

Asked in 2018 for a review of Green Oaks Apt complex and the status of a property management company called 10 South ..was informed that it was not to be trusted and Michigan Ave. Office was closed. But Bbb neglected to follow that another co.of the same poor quality continued to operate from a park forest location.

Lots of 1 star reviews here. I see fake 5 star reviews. Google and BBB must be in the scam together. Anyway, tried to complain about a large company in Chicago. BBB refused to publish my complaints. I see others here have had the same problem. Agreed - BBB not to be trusted.

UPDATE: No update. BBB Chicago is a joke. UPDATE: Two months later, I put my complaint number on here... NO REPLY. Can I take my one star away? They couldn't help me because "they don't set contractor prices".. HUH? I wasn't disputing the price I was disputing the work being completed, having to pay someone else to finish the job AND why the contractor wouldn't provide me with any receipts. What a worthless waste of time. OH and the contractor has an A + rating. Good grief. RESPONSE: Here is my complaint number 12369121 This is the last email I sent to you which never received a response: "I understand that this complaint was closed. It was stated that it was due to a pricing issue and that the business can charge what it wants to. I agree with that. However, I don’t have the information to determine if I was even charged correctly. The owner made several appointments to meet me with that info and failed to show. He also didn’t finish the job. I find this very troubling. I guess I just chalk this up to live and learn. I have learned that there is nowhere to go to get help with this matter. I guess they get their A+ rating."

I filed a complaint with this office which was transferred to another state and when addressing the matter with the office I was told to speak with Kyle Harris who promised he would look into the matter and get back to me. I contacted Mr. Harris several times after speaking with him both by email and telephone and to this day I have never again heard from, Kyle Harris.

Stairway to the Stars in Maywood, ILI had an unfortunate incident where this young African American ballet teacher thought it was right to let my three year old sit the whole ballet class. I was told because she was crying twice she had to sit down and that my daughter told her she didn't want to dance. When my three year old stop crying she wanted to get back up and said the teacher wouldn't let her. Why would you let a three year old sit down the whole time in a dance class anyway. Children cries and they get upset, but if you see a child stop crying than the helpers or teacher should direct them to get up and try it again because it is about positivity and not tearing down young children. The teacher told me this was not her first rodeo, what do I want her to do she have other children so whatever if she sitting down, that is one child sitting down every week, and she can't deal with my daughter one on one. My question is if a child is upset and they get theirself together why can't they get back up? Second question, why is it a child sitting down every week and is it a plan to do something about it? Third question, Did I ask her to deal with my child one on one? The teacher has this attitude like the children has to be perfect and no child is perfect, but it is enough people in that room to have asked the children on the wall if you wanted to try again. I have the right to speak up for my daughter. All the the teacher said well what you want me to do today like it was over, She said I just want to be mad, and she just smiled like she wasn't in the wrong. Than the Caucasian lady behind the front desk telling me to shut up and stop talking. It is over and it is the end of the conversion, they was done talking about it so they thought I should just shut up too. They need to be retaught customer service and if they don't have patients to deal with 3 to 5 than maybe this is not the job for them. My daughter face said it all as she was separated for 20 to 30 minutes from the class to just watch on the side lines. When they say she doesn't know the dance...who fought will that be. Lets just say a very disappointing day..

tried to file a complaint against a company. bbb refused to publish my complaint. definite pay to play. the company I filed a complaint against pays the bbb to keep a clean record. bs. not to be trusted.

Went to the site to enter a complaint against an online predatory loan company working OUT of the Chicago area...Got a verification request email...The "Click button" didn't work on either an Android OR Windows-based device. I called and after 9 rings, got their voicemail box at the BBB...I haven't any idea if anyone will even look into the problem..Can't file by phone. Can't verify and post your review online. Basically, what are they getting paid to do?.
