Feedback:

I had a car loan for three years and had no issues. Called to pay off early with no trouble. Very friendly and even congratulated me.

What can I say worst customer service ever and banking! AVOID THIS BANK! My credit was 675 when I got loan they said on paperwork I got a 9.84 found out later it was a 10.41? How did it go up? 2. They said every month they mail a statement NO! 3. I always paid them a month in advance or early because I wanted to pay off early I would mail a check it would not show up on account till the 8th of the next month when the payment was due on the 9th so they could charge me all the interest that I was trying to avoid by paying early! Lastly most banks report every month to trans union they don’t there 3 months behind on my reporting! Thank GOD I traded my car in just to get away from this bank! Don’t go here if you have to go to JD byrider they will rip you off less then these people will!!!!

Tried to make a loan payment online with this bank and was unable to due to their not having this function available. I called so that I could make a payment over the phone using my card or check. I was told that there would be a fee to make a payment. I hung up, thought about it and called back and spoke to someone else named Margaret to ask if there was a possibility to waive the fee since I would have to drive 5 towns over just to make a payment. I let her know that the function online was not available. Not a nice person. She stated that there would be a fee and that I could speak to someone in the credit department since they would be the ones who decide if they can waive that fee. I was connected to Ruth who obviously spoke to Margaret since she already knew what my request would be. Of course, not very nice customer service either. It makes no sense to call a bank to make a payment of over 450.00 and then be charged a 25.00 fee for making that payment to them!!!! She gave other options to me but none of them that would allow me to make the payment ASAP. My payments have never been late not would this one have been. I was hoping for better customer service. I did not pick this bank to use for a loan, this is the bank the car dealer used. I will do all I can to figure out a way not to have to deal with this bank in person or have to call them. Can't wait to be done with these payments and out of their system.

I agree with that comments about checks and cash. It’s not comfortable. But I totally disagree with those who wrote that people are impolite. I came there a few times, I called them a lot and every time they were very supportive. They called me when got the check from insurance company, so I could pay the difference and close credit at the same day. I had a lot of questions - it was my first credit, first accident and I’m not from USA, so don’t know for sure how system works - and they answered all of them POLITELY. That’s why I put 5 stars.

After being strong armed to pay a fraudulent amount of money for a loan that they were getting an insurance check for after we were in an accident... they tried to charge us $24 to pay their ridiculous fee over the phone. Most 21st century banks have internet or app paying options, but not American Eagle! You either snail mail a check, deliver it in person or face a $24 charge anytime you need to pay by phone. When I asked what the president's name was, the manager, Eric told me they didn't give out last names or contact info! NEVER AGAIN! This place is terrible. We will be contacting the BBB and are working on getting an article written by the Tribune and other local papers.

The rudest bank I have ever dealt with. Eric, the manager screamed at me on the phone telling me I didn’t understand a simple loan when in reality he was trying to scam me out of interest money after we were in an accident. This man also hung up on me. Steer clear of this bank at all costs!

It took 3 phone calls just to find out how much the interest I paid on a vehicle in 2017. No one from the loan department would call me back. Ridiculous!

Find ANY OTHER bank!!!! Stay clear! Weasly scammers, they don't provide statements or internet access to your loan info. It has been a nightmare dealing with these crooks. I would give ZERO stars if possible. POOR service to be kind worded. Worst bank ever!!!!

This bank will do ANYTHING to charge extra fees anyway they possibly can....I am editing what I previously stated because it was my attorney who did not warn me to never be late making auto loan payments with a chapter 13 bankruptcy, that huge attorney fees would be added on top of regular fees. Also when I switched auto insurance (no lapse) I was also not warned to let the bank know right away. (More high fees)So even tho fees were unfair AEB has waived final $100 fees out of total $993.70 fees & I have received my title. It’s very sad someone paying off all their debt thru a chapter 13 is ‘flagged’ to take advantage of to make money off of.
