Client Review on American Eagle Bank

Finally paid off an auto loan with American Eagle and truly I've never had the misfortune to work with a less accommodating bank. No statements on the loan balance (must call to find that out), no electronic payment option besides very special circumstances, and they wanted to hold the slight overpayment from the loan payoff for 3 WEEKS before mailing me a PAPER CHECK IN THE MAIL instead of just returning the overpaid funds electronically, which is how they were sent. They were just never able to help me in a positive customer service way and ALWAYS told me it was their 'policy' they had to stick to when giving me a reason for terrible service and no help. I had to go all the way to the PRESIDENT OF THE BANK to have the 3 week hold on my funds waived, and they treated it like I was asking them to move a mountain. These guys are so predatory in an already high margin business (auto loans) and have been nothing but painful to deal with over the life of the loan. If your dealership uses American Eagle for financing, ask for an alternative. If they insist, find another dealer. Run away from this bank as fast as you can, refinance if you have to, but save yourself hours of headache and stay far away from American Eagle bank.
