Client Review on ZodiacPools
Feedback:
Warning, they misrepresent and struggle to service a pool.Normally, I would just let this go and move on. However, when you learn that someone lies to you it deserves sharing our experience so others may avoid such an experience. This was going to be our first house with a pool. It was exciting for us. When we purchased our house, the previous home owners provided us their pool service company. We contacted Zodiac and scheduled a meeting for them to walk us through the pool equipment of which they charged us for this meeting. (Later, we found out that most pool service companies do not charge for this service.) We were also informed by the service manager of Zodiac Pools that they built our pool. We thought how cool that we could work with the folks that installed our pool. It was shared that Zodiac Pools started in South Lake, TX and then moved up to Sanger, TX. They said that they could provide the paperwork for our pool if needed, but it might take some time to find it. We had been using their pool service for about a year with several call backs ranging from not removing the debris in the bag on the pooler cleaner, not cleaning the algae build up, to adding salt versus chlorine tablets. We documented that we asked 4 times for the normal service guy cleaning our pool to add salt and not just chlorine tablets. His excuse was that Zodiac Pools ran out of salt and they will get us on the next weekly visit. Eventually, we ended up having a salt water pool that smelled and tasted like a chlorine pool. I was getting sick of this lack of attention to detail and basic service. Finally, we had experienced our pool flooding a couple times during the heavy rains. We asked Zodiac how they originally installed the drainage to see if it was adequate to handle the heavy rains for both the pool and around the pool. Zodiac said it would look for the paperwork and finally said they could not find the paperwork about our pool and blamed it on their move from South Lake, TX to Sanger, TX. So I decided to research our pool a little more. And, I am glad I did. I went to our water district office that reviewed and approved the permit to build our pool. We learned that Zodiac did not build our pool. Zodiac did not even subcontract the company listed on the permit. Yes, I called Zodiac and the construction company listed on the permit directly. Since then, we no longer do business with Zodiac.
