Client Review on Zions Bank West Jordan/78th South

Feedback:

If I could put zero stars on this reveiw, I would. Yrene Luque, the financial center manager at this location, was extremely rude when I came in with my wife to cash a check for a very large sum of money. I, on a daily basis, exercises my 2nd amendment rights, and was doing so when I went in today, carrying a double retention holstered sidearm. She approached me while my wife was with the teller and demanded I show her my gun permit. First of all, I was open carrying and I am not required, by law in the state of Utah, to have a permit to open carry. I do, however, have a concealed carry permit, if I so choose to carry concealed. Second of all, I am under no obligation by law to show her anything, and told her as much. She still continued to insist I had to show her my permit. I told her to call West Jordan PD if she has a problem with the law. Meanwhile, my wife is still with the teller going through the long process of getting the check verified which involves calling the people who issued the check. She goes back to her office to call West Jordan PD and I wait patiently. The teller hangs up the phone and states that he cannot verify the check because he cannot get them on the phone. My wife calls them on her phone and gets them on the phone right away and asks them to call the teller back. They do so and the teller hangs up on them without any explanation. He states that the check cannot be verified and that we have to go somewhere else to cash the check. She never stated, and there is nothing posted anywhere on their property, that they do not allow lawfully carried firearms. She also never asked us to leave the property. After the refusal of service, and 45 minutes of time wasted, we left the building and waited for West Jordan PD. One of the officers went in to explained the law to her, which she was apparently oblivious to, while we chatted to with the other officer outside. We asked if my wife could finish her transaction, since she really had nothing to do with the exchange between her and I, but she refused. We apparently are banned from this location now and had to go all the way to the location in Murry to complete our transaction. They, at least, were very professional. Thank you West Jordan PD officers for being professional as well.
