Update:After posting on Vantiv's Facebook business page I received a message asking for my business information so the company could look into the situation further. I received a phone call soon afterwards. Vantiv was able to successfully resolve my issues to my satisfaction. I feel comfortable in using their services again if the opportunity to do business together presents itself. ___________Mercury Payment Systems, now Vantiv Communications, is a merchant credit card processor that does not give reasonable customer service to its merchants. If you are looking for a customer service oriented merchant credit card processor, find another company. I requested to cancel my account through their website, due to the fact that it was so difficult to get anyone on the phone at Mercury, a fact that they readily acknowledged. They failed to inform me in the important reminders section of their closing account agreement that if I failed to give 30 days written notice, I would be charged an early termination fee of $295, but that if I payed for the extra 30 days of processing I wouldn’t have an early termination fee. They, furthermore, refused to reverse the termination charge and charge me for the extra 30 days. I was told to request my new credit card processing company to cover the cost of the early termination fee. A solution that accommodated both parties was not allowed to be reached due to the fact that the call was terminated by the Merchant Liaison at Mercury.
