I wish I could give 0 stars. I only write reviews if the service/product is absolutely wonderful or completely horrible. Well, this is qualifies as HORRIBLE. My initial contact with Tristate Creations was excellent. They were attentive & responsive. A salesman raved abt quality work, excellent service, they’re insured, there’s a warranty etc. I should have run when the quote was $45K, but I did my homework, negotiated & we had a deal. I had 8 windows installed, new heating and electrical system. I still felt I overpaid, but quality was the most important thing to me & finding a company that did all the work was convenient...Fast forward 2 yrs. I contacted them bc one of the windows began leaking. I read bad reviews (which wasn’t what I found when I did my initial homework), so I left a message not disclosing the problem; instead I left it general to make them think I was looking for business so they'd call back. Josh called me back within hours, so I told him about the window. He said he’d put in a work order & I’d receive a call back to schedule an appt. I made several more calls, but have never been contacted back. That was 5 months ago. Today, I have an electrical problem. I plugged in a simple laptop & the electric in my entire kitchen shorted out. The socket sparked, turned black and now NOTHING works. Calling Tristate is a joke, so I won’t bother. I’m sure someone will respond back to my review but not a service call on shotty work that was done. Any response will be BS bc they don’t take accountability & I won’t see it anyway bc the last second of my life wasted on this place (they haven’t earned the right to be called a company) will be with the BBB since they are certified (don’t let that fool u). Any response will be for potential future customers this place will attempt to steal from. If Tristate wanted to right these wrongs, I wouldn’t let them bc my house may catch on fire. If you do biz with this place, do it at your own risk. There are prob some success stories you may read, but they don’t have a 2 star rating (I hope mine brings it to 1 star)bc they’re great. They’re two bit handymen that overcharge & don’t stand behind their work. SHAME!Signed Hardworking honest woman.
