Client Review on Treasure Hunt Collectible Coins & Stamps

Feedback:

I took several pieces to Treasure Hunt in Cranberry, PA. They ended up offering $260. There were 8 rings, some silver. One of the rings had small diamonds In a cascade. Another ring had larger stones. They tested the gold, and examined the diamonds. They claimed that they only pay for diamonds if they are a certain size (which I believed one of the rings were).I also had 3 bracelets and a silver necklace with small diamonds. It’s kind of odd? They told me that they don’t pay extra for the stones, but they examine each and every diamond to be sure they are real. So basically they pay you for the gold and keep the diamonds. They claimed that stones more than likely wouldn’t be good enough to put into another settings. As they say, they don’t pay extra for the stones, but you better believe they take the time to make sure that those stones, which they don’t pay extra for are real. So it’s strictly the gold they are interested in. Yah, ok. Over 12 pieces of jewelry, they offered $260. And guess what, they keep the stones. If I had come in with just the rings with the stones removed, think that would have taken them? I think not. I was ripped off, low balled and taken for a ride. The jewelry had great sentimental value to me.Had I not needed the money immediately for my Kids, I would have shopped around. I HIGHLY do not recommend Treasure Hunt for anything.
