I really don't need my bank to make me feel particularly loved or happy. What I do need them to do is take care of my money. My wife gave the teller $200 in cash to deposit plus some checks. When she got home she realized the deposit receipt was $200 short! I called them and they told me they would look for it. Now get this part - an hour later they called back and said they found $100 of the $200...but not all of it. What??? I told them it was no feat to be proud of and to keep looking. The manager told me it would take a day to resolve because they would have to watch the security tapes. Late that evening they left a message saying the complete $200 had been deposited with no apology for the mishandling of our money. When we recently sold our home and had a very sizable check from our equity, I chose to carry it around until I could get to my bank out of state rather than giving them that kind of money.
