I gave them 1 star because I couldn't give 0. I have been a customer for over 10 years. I have a savings account, Christmas Club and a vacation club with them, all with direct deposit from my work. The Christmas club is paid out on October 1 of each year. My daughter is getting married on September 21. I asked to close the account effective September 19 to use the money for last minute expenses for the wedding. Customer service said the policy was a 10% penalty. I called back and tried to speak to a supervisor. After having to explain why I wanted a supervisor the rep again just said that there would be a 10% penalty and the supervisor wouldn't be able to change that. After waiting about 10 more minutes the supervisor got on the phone and simply told me that there would be a 10% penalty and that they can't waive it. My husband had a Christmas club with Newfield National Bank. He made the same request from them. It took 2 minutes to get it done and they waived their early withdrawal penalty. I have already stopped my direct deposits and will close all of my accounts. Horrible company to deal with!

After charging my wife a $35 overdraft fee 7 times even though we had overdraft protection, we're done with this pig sty of a credit union. It's been nothing but problems since day one. Took 2 months for our debit cards to be sent to the right address, never got checks, never was able to setup transfers from another bank due to an error on SJFCU's side. The list goes on!An absolute DUMP with atrocious customer service. Enjoy our $245. We're switching banks and you'll never steal another dime out of our pockets.

Had large sum of money in vacation club for European vacation. When my balance for the trip was due, they would not release my money. It appears they only transfer funds on April 1st, however, my balance for the trip was due the 16th of March. They would only release my vacation funds with a 10% (500.00) penalty. I am looking for a new bank.

They are not professional. Personal loan is very hard to get . They approve for you Auto loan upto $15000 but will not approve you for $5000 persanal loan. Never told you until you called. Very slow they never called you until you Call them for follow up and ask them what's going on with your loan application . They told you that they will call you but they dont.I'm not recommend this bank. I'm going to close my account with them.

Terrible, horrible, nd horrendous. Unhelpful, unprofessional, nd unfriendly, nasty actually. Spiteful as if the money is not mine that I worked for. Everything Ive needed down to a stamped statement for mortgage app has been a nightmare here! Been here for yrs nd not sure why Ive stayed. Not anymore tho! Goodbye to the crappiest bank Ive experienced. This place makes BOA look good!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, THIS IS THE WORST BANK I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH!!!!!!! wish I could give this place zero stars.... the customer service is terrible, the information given is incorrect and no one takes responsibility for their mistakes. I would not recommend using this institution in any case. I will be pulling all of my business. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE
