I have banked here for almost 6 years, and I have a credit card and auto loan and couldn't be happier. They pay for my atm fees and have excellent rates. Their location is very convenient and the staff is always friendly and eager to help.

I just dealt with one of the rudest people at their call center. I am appalled at the treatment I received. I called to report fraud on my account and she was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I can’t comprehend how someone like this can work in a customer facing position.

New ATM "live " technology is lame as lame can be. If I needed a person, I would have stepped inside. An ATM is lovely for small-talk free interactions. Now it is just slow and annoying

Chip in debit card stopped working. I asked for a new card to be sent to me(7 days), they did NOT warn me that my current card would be cancelled(tried using it at store). Who in their right mind would not tell someone they would have 7-days without a debit card, if you choose to have it mailed? Called at 9, was on hold for 15mins. When I spoke to customer service I dropped a couple f bombs(not directed at them) and they snapped at me, told me to watch my language. If they told me my current card would be terminated, while ordering a new one and having it mailed, I wouldnt have chosen that. Now I have to go to a branch location, and instead of picking up a new card I feel I should close my account and go elsewhere.Edit/UPDATE: Reply to Rivermark's reply. If you read the chat even briefly, you could also see that I was only asking for a replacement because my CHIP did not work. I never once said my card was stolen or lost. Later in the chat I asked a general question curious to what happens when people need a replacement when their card is stolen or lost. It was a inquiry, not my current situation.Plain and simple. Asked for a replacement card because my chip no longer worked. Person on Rivermark chat DID NOT say my current(and working) card was subject to cancellation upon agreement of having new card sent through the mail. Not a peep of warning. That is why I looked like an idiot at the store trying to buy something with a cancelled card. I needed to clarify that. Your reply makes me look incompetent and/or culpable, and fails to take 100% accountability on your part.

I switched from a big Bank years ago to this Credit Union. I was trying to escape the big Bankness. I'm a fan of credit unions over regular Banks. Rivermark is becoming a regular Bank. As a account holder I don't really feel my money should be going to marketing and advertising and fancy new buildings. That's awesome that Rivermark is successful but I want it to be at credit union still, and not just striving to grow to a regular bank.

So I have mixed feelings about this bank. They got my partner and I a great auto loan, but the service is usually 'meh' and the home loan APR rates aren't as competitive as some other CU's. Recently I was having an issue of my own fault, and called customer service to see of there was anything I could do. A woman named Jacqueline called me "financially illiterate" and suggested that I should take classes before further using my bank card. I have had a lot of financial issues lately and stress, and realot don't appreciate being called illeterate.

I have been a Rivermark member for over 4 years and I have always had a pleasant experience. My most recent was with Alisa at the Hawthorne Branch. She helped me get approved for a loan to consolidate some debt. She was very informative and was able to answer all my questions. You will always have me as a member!
