Feedback:

This is a company with substandard business practices. They granted a loan to an identity thief then refuse to accept that. Very clear and cut case. They did not request proper documentation for the loan application and then they only keep checks for 180 days making it impossible for us to trace funds related to the loan. See you in court Prosper.

Feedback:

I took out a 3 year personal loan for $15,000 with Prosper. the first red flag was that they would debit my payments out without my authorization. This happened more than once (other people have reported this same issue.) However...the bigger issue is that over the course of the loan I made 36 payments and at the end there showed a misc balance left of around $200. I called to ask them what this was since all my payments had been made and none reported late. They could not explain what this was but said that all my payments had been made. I asked them to make a note in case this came up later. They said they would and that was the last I heard of it...until ONE YEAR LATER. Then they sent me an email stating that I owed over $300! I asked them what this was and they again could not explain. I spent several days and countless hours talking to various people. Someone finally said it was accrued charges left over from the loan. I asked why I had not heard anything about this until now. He said he did not know. He said they show that I had agreed to make final payments on it. I asked him to provide me proof of phone conversations (since they supposedly record their calls) or any other correspondence from me where I agreed to this. He said he would get back to me on Monday. He never did. I called again and was again promised a call back. I never got one. I then starting receiving various emails stating that I was going to be late. I replied to each one and said until I am provided with proof of what I "Owe" I am not paying anything. This dragged on for 3 months. At that point they simply reported me to the credit bureau that I missed 3 months in a row of payments and finally wrote off the loan at over $500! Funny thing is that according to THEIR reporting to the credit bureau...I made 36 payments on time...then AN ADDITIONAL 12 PAYMENT on time...before finally being marked as late. This doesn't even add up if you look at the initial loan amount and the payments they claim I made (48 total.) I have filed a complaint with Experian and have an attorney involved as well. These guys are crooks. They were willing to lose a client who had paid them over $20,000 in payments/fees over what appears to be bad communication and record-keeping on their part. I am not the only one. Look up their reviews...they have done this to others as well. My wife also had a loan out with them and she paid 3 years without being late...and they reported her last payment as late. I have no idea if it was or wasn't but again to lose a client who had paid them over $10,000 over reporting a late payment on the final payment is mind boggling to me for a business to do. It is clear to me that this company does not care about repeat clients because they know they are going to screw them over the first time around and that client won't want to come back. STAY AWAY

Scumbag advertisers. Would never actually consider using them

Feedback:

I have been trying to get them to report to the credit bureau that this paid in full. I have some many different stories and hurendous customer service. I spoke with a manager last night Jason Steddman that he would fixing this in the next few days and he would email me a paid in full letter. A couple minutes later I received a call back by this gentleman his whole attitude changed stating they already this. I continuously call trans union but I am told nothing has been sent electronically. My only recourse was to file complaint with the better business bureau. Hopefully this will get them to do the right thing

Feedback:

Completely annoyed by this company. I filled out an app online to see what the rates were. They called me the next day and I informed them that I would not need the loan. They have been calling me non-stop for the last 4 days. I have been on hold trying to get them to stop calling me for 30 mins. Unacceptable customer service. I will not contact them again.

Feedback:

I did call them today and give them all my information but the customer service they have it’s very bad and also I’m gonna cancel my account right now So bad experience.

Feedback:

Please don't waste your time with this company no personal customer service it's all scripted nobody knows what's going on

Feedback:

Bad. Why? They sent me a letter that looked exactly like a check. I opened it, and it was their advertisement for loan.

Feedback:

I started to get a lone and found a better deal with a different company so I told them to cancel. I get an email 2 months later saying they turned down. I don't know what the hell they are talking about. It looks like they attempted to process it 2 times a month apart. I never gave them my bank information or anything passed my name and ss# so of course it will be turned down if they never get the info. I don't know what is going on with the 2nd try. I hope it doesn't hurt my credit because I'm trying to hit excellant by the end of the year
