My wife and I have been working very hard the past 10 years to improve our financial picture. In the wake of the recession of 2007 - 2008, we experienced a loss of income, while also seeing the value of our home slip so low that we owed more than our home was worth. As the economy improved, so did our income and also the value of our home. But we were 6 years into a 30 year mortgage at 5%. How were we ever to retire in less than 20 years with 24 years of payments? Well, we contacted Primary Residential Mortgage and met with Mark Maroon at their Scarborough Maine location. Mark was incredibly helpful in helping us to understand how our credit scores worked and how those scores effected how good an interest rate we can get. He showed us what we could do to push our scores higher to get the lower rates and kept watching those rates so we could lock in at the most opportune moment.The end result is we now are in a 15 year mortgage at just 3.625% and our payment only increased a little over $200/month! We are both so excited knowing that our home will be paid for 9 years sooner! Total savings over the length of the loan will be over $140,000! Wow! That's something you can take to the bank! We are both convinced that we would not have gotten as good of a rate or as good a service from any other mortgage lender. We cannot recommend Primary Residential Mortgage enough. We will definitely go to them in the future. It is not often that you feel like a lender actually wants you to do well and really wants your repeat business.
