terrible customer service policy when late on payment, two SNAIL MAIL notifications within 2 weeks and call it a day...off to the credit reporting bureau for you to deal with a 100 point drop in your credit score for the next 7 years...what's wrong with a courtesy phone call?...thanks MSU FU, wish I could give zero stars

Make sure if you have automatic payments set up with msufcu that payments actually get made.

No interest on checking, almost nothing on imma which requires a high minimum balance to even get that and required hostage $5 in a almost no interest savings account. Then charge $5 fees to transfer money from and investment account back into the credit union. They should be rewarding me to put money into their bank rather than stealing money off the top. Am looking for alternative places to keep my money.

Yeah they've definitely don't tell you before they run their credit check and then try to get you to sign it like you give them authorization first but you didn't. Was a customer for over 9 years because my family was. Never very helpful but that's usually how big corporations are. Very clean and some What fast service.

To start, I mentioned that I was interested in opening an account and they took down my first and last name and told me to wait and someone would be with me.10-15 minutes later I get an ugly look from someone and they say I can help you. I follow her into her office and she starts off by telling me that I owe them some amount of money from 2007. No identification validation at this point. She says in order to open an account this balance must be paid. How would you like to pay today.Still no validating my identity, however claiming I owe them money.After a little discussion she requests identification through drivers license and SSN and tells me the birth dates don't match so never mind on that accusation.Next thing I know she's telling me stuff about my credit as well as a score. She ran a credit check without asking me. Literally no discussion.After she hands me forms to sign. One of which happens to be consent for running a credit check. At this point all I wanted was my account so I could save 0.25% on an auto loan. I signed the form and left.Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone as they charge a fee to become a "member" as well as accuse you of things you never did prior to any identity validation.

Great credit union. Convenient ATM locations located at all Quality Dairy’s throughout the greater Lansing area. They also have many branches across the area.
