I’ve been banking with Marine Credit Union for about 6-8months. My husband joined after I did once I told him how much I loved banking here. He experienced some rude bank tellers. I just didn’t believe him until today. I stopped in the West Des Moines location to take care of business. There were two bank tellers by the name of Lucy and Michelle that watched me walk into their place of business and walk towards their counter. They then decided to start ignoring me and started to engage in side conversation instead of assisting me. I proceeded to get the attention of the bank teller way in the back so that I could be assisted. Her name was Rebecca. She was very pleasant. She asked for assistance from Michelle and Michelle acted as if she was annoyed to assist Rebecca with my business. Long story short I am considering moving my business elsewhere. This is because I no longer feel welcomed in this establishment due to this visit.

I've had an account here since I was a child. My father started it for me as a savings account to put money aside. When I took over the account I did the same thing. I bought a house two years ago, and I used most of the funds out of this account; however, I left the account open so I could still save money. Out of site out of mind, right? Well ever since it merged in with another credit union they have been charging me fee's because I do not use the account often enough. Needless to say after finding out I was being charged the account has been closed, and I will not be returning. It is really to bad as the people who work at this location are very nice people. Way to waste a 26 year relationship in the making.

I would give lower but some interaction has been good, recently I cant get a call back. Have left 4 messages with the loan officer and when talking to customer service this is normal.

Wow!! Amazing customer service cared about my situation like were family they helped when nobody would help!! Best Credit Union ever I will forever look to do business with them!!

I've been doing business here for many years and feel like the people who work here are not only my personal bankers but are friends. They know my name and ask about my life and I probably talk too much and they are kind to listen. I've never had that at any other bank. When my teenage son got a debit card and overdrafted they called me right away and avoided fees. They are always helpful when I can't access the website or need individual assistance and they never make me feel like it's an inconvenience. Now THAT's customer service! And there's rarely a line!
