Client Review on Jessup's of New Smyrna

VERY, very dishonest people here. I am not surprised to see other reviews describing the same practice. We were in a desperate situation and had to sell some jewelry. They told me that the diamond in my ring wasn't a very good quality stone and that it was an older style cut so there wouldn't be much they could do with it... BUT they would "help" me out and give me a decent price. Well, they are extremely good liars because I am usually pretty good at telling when someone is not being truthful and I didn't pick it up. About a month later, we had taken care of our financial issue, so my husband went back into the shop to buy the ring back. When he saw the price he was very surprised to see it extremely, substantially higher than they told me it was worth. On top of that, they told him that the stone was a "very nice cut" and a "high color quality"..... More than a little confused, he told them that I just sold it to them a little while ago and they told us it wasn't worth much so we were hoping to buy it back. They said that this wasn't the same ring. But, it was my wedding ring that my husband bought for me so there is no question it was the same ring. Bottom line: These people are CROOKS. Avoid them at all cost.
