Feedback:

After suffering a stroke I fell behind on the auto loan payment. Allan Gross was and continues to be extraordinarily rude and disrespectful to me regardless of how fast I get there with the payment. I hate walking in there and went back to PeoplesBank and will never leave PB again. HCU is a corporate atmosphere not a credit union. Do not go there.

Feedback:

Ive been banking there for a few years now. The employees are the only reason I stay, they all know me by name and are very personable & friendly. I had an issue with credit card fraud and it was handled super fast. :) I just wish they kept the Sunday hours.

Feedback:

I have a car loan through them. I always pay on time. Never miss a payment. I received a prescreened offer for a low interest credit card. I wanted to transfer a balance of $4500 to try to save money and pay off my debt. I had a 740 credit score. They turned me down. I tried to talk to a person about it and got nowhere. I thought credit unions were for helping people. They made me feel like a credit criminal. I never miss a payment on anything. Do not do business with these people!

Feedback:

Very professional. Gotta ask questions to get answers though..

Feedback:

Overall horrible customer service. They treat you as if they were a larger corporate bank and not like they value your business. I've switched to Umass and the difference is amazing, they actually appreciate your business like a usual credit union unlike HCU. Stay away

Feedback:

Absolute worst banking experience I have ever had. I opened an account here because they are right around the corner from where I used to live, and it was just convenient. I had no idea how horrible their customer service was going to be. I work a lot of hours, and I'm not always able to get to the bank when they are open, so I rely on being able to pick up the phone and call my bank to speak with someone whenever I have any questions about possible loans, account information, etc. I have had my account with this bank for 6 months, and call 2 or 3 times a month looking to speak with a banker. To this day, the bank has not picked up the phone even once when I've tried calling. I'll try 5 or 6 times to reach someone, anyone, and they just let the phone ring and ring until it goes to the "receptionist desk," which is just an answering machine, telling you to leave a message. Every time I've left a message, it has taken no shorter than 2 days for someone to get back to me. 2 days! I've called about getting a mortgage, and getting 2 loans, and was unable to speak to someone about any of them. I had to get a loan for a new car with a different bank than the one I'm a member to because they wouldn't pick up the phone or call me back! Most recently, I moved to South Carolina, and was not able to tell the bank, (because they don't pick up the phone,) so my card was getting declined when I first got here. I tried to call them to help me fix the situation, and, of course, no one picked up the phone. I left a message, and it took 3 days for someone to call me and tell me how to fix it. I spent 3 days in South Carolina without being able to access any of my personal funds. That was the last straw. Bank account is being cancelled.
