Feedback:

This is quite possibly one of the worst banks in the country. The bottom line is that they just don’t care. The system they use to manage accounts is terrible, it’s very difficult to even distinguish between different accounts. The ATMs at the branches themselves won’t even let you do a normal cash withdrawal with your debit card, you have to use a workaround and go to “fast cash”. Their own ATM. They use deceptive practices when it comes to their debit cards and will disable your card if you happen to try and charge an amount greater than the balance. They can’t legally charge you an overdraft fee without overdraft protection, so they will charge you to re-enable the card. They will also disable your card for most out-of-state purchases which is very frustrating when traveling. Even online purchases are at risk of disabling the card. They once told me online purchases to businesses in the state of California are considered “high risk”.Avoid this bank at all costs, there are plenty of options in Helena and around Montana.

As a customer there cards are horrible & if they do mess up witch i might add is often, they will take forever to fic there error if at all.

I have been with HCCU for over 20 years! Started out with a savings account as a kid and now have multiple accounts! My son now has a savings account too! Just won't go anywhere else!!!

I've been in Helena for 7yrs now and the best decision I made was making HCCU my banking choice! They made my first time home buying process easy and understandable! And they always have the nicest staff! Thank you HCCU for being awesome

I really enjoy the mobile banking app they provide their customers. It makes it easy to transfer money between accounts, deposit checks, and pay bills online.

Be smart like me: take your money elsewhere. Got in their own way, really. Rude and aloof staff; with zero care about you as a person. Solely focused how big a business you are to them.

A credit Union is SUPPOSED to be a non profit, different from financial institutions. When they changed their name, I was assured there were no other changes other than the name. I was a customer, "member" as they say, as if it means anything, for 8 years. Not any more, here's why:* Due to fraud charges on my account I had weto chargestop from 10payment nton two checks, charges jumped from 10.00 to 28.00 over night. Why not just let it go thru and bounce for the same price?* Used to be able to get one cashier's check per day, now only one per month. $5.00 per check. Now inconvenient to go to post office and get a damn money order * Run out of checks? They print sheets of four for $4.00 per sheet. No bank has ever charged me for those.* From my recent fraudulent charges to my account, I cancelled my card in April, Debit cards were on back order, today is 6/5 and I still do not have my card - had to physically go in and they had to order another. They were released from back order 5/22. Thanks guys.* I asked about all these changes as I was assured nothing would change, tellers response: "we offer many free services, that other Banks charge for."What other services? Free checking? Because that is all I have that you don't charge for. Every bank offers those accounts * Finally last year, they released exempt funds from my son's college financial aide, to a collection agency for a judgment that was not even in his Name. They legally camaflauged the action in a 'loophole' an did nothing to assist us in getting the funds back. We eyes the agency, and finally got them back, but certainly with no help from helena cu.* NO LONGER YOUR HELENA CREDIT UNION, IF NON PROFIT AND ASSURED WITH NO CHANGES, WHY ALL THE PRICE JUMPS AND WHY DID THEY LIE TO HELENAEN'S ASSURING US NO OTHER CHANGES THAN THE NAME.CORPORATE BS HAS ENTERED ABD AND NO DIFFERENT FROM ANY OTHER INSTITUTION. WALK ON, don't buy into the credit union "hoopla", it's be. Closing my account, knowing I had better service and same prices/free services from my previous bank. And, this post, and other lower reviews, will never be addressed, talked about, answered or dealt with - with any care of customer service/satisfaction. They do not care at all.. (Notice none of those reviews have been addressed on line.) You are just a number. Prove me wrong intrepid: 437 3014 I will post ur response.
