I came to this pawn shop looking to sell my laptop, although I didnt sell it. I came up with the desicion to take a loan I was helped by DJ. I was provided awesome customer service as soon as I walked in the door, then I came to the counter and DJ walked me through everything and was a great help. I will be continueing to come here for buisness.

These crooks operate with shady business practices, to put it mildly. These people are completely unscrupulous and without honor - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE MORALLY BANKRUPT PREDATORS!! They unlawfully charged me sales tax to redeem my own item, claiming it was required by law. I discovered later that day that the law had been changed in January 2017, and in fact they had no right to charge me. When I contacted the CA Pawnbrokers Association, they confirmed that the law had been changed, but Gems N Loans still refuses to make it right. They lied to me on the phone, stating there would not be an issue with me coming in to redeem my item (a Gibson Les Paul worth $1800) one day late. They are not to be trusted, and I will be reporting them to BBB, the CA FTB, The Consumer Protection Agency, and am seriously considering litigation. A MUCH better choice is their competitor, Posh Pawn in Clairmont Mesa. They operate their business with integrity and honor, and are always willing to put their customers first.

I came in super stressed and broke. Walked up to the counter and was greeted by Fermin. Such a seeet man, knowledgeable and just anhaopy go lucky kinda guy.He called over the assistant manager DJ who’s knowledge blew me away. He knew just by looking at my Rolex what make and model it was. Just blew me away.They are all so willing and happy to help. I’m a repeat customer to Gems and Loans and they have gained my locality. Everyone who has any valuable jewelry and needs some cash this is the place to come! Ask for Fermin or DJ. The two coolest cats in the yard.

I have been buying jewelry from Gems N Loans in Oceanside for over 10 years and they are the most nicest and have best customer service then any place I go to. Michelle is a great manager and helps out any way she can. Thanks Gems N Loans!!! I’ll be back soon, I need a new ring.
