This happened to me twice which is more than a coincidence. If you deposit a check remotely to pay off their bills, they held onto the funds until past the date where they can claim late fees before availing the funds. Those scummers of the 90's who used to hold onto one's mailed check then process it after the due date are back apparently. Now they are operating in banks like FCCU!
