If you want long waits, lousy service, aggravation, and folks who cannot respond to the most BASIC requests, then by all means, go here. If these things don't resonate with you, KEEP AWAY. This is NOT a good bank to deal with.

This place is consistently a nightmare. Most recently I deposited two checks from Eastern into an Eastern account. One was from one of MY accounts into another of my accounts. Form was filled out properly that they should go in as CASH. Teller did not understand that. I spent 20 minutes waiting for the transaction to be "fixed" but apparently it was not. Since the Loring Ave. branch closed, unfortunately there are times I have to use this branch. I WOULD RATHER HAVE A ROOT CANAL THAN GO THERE!! Closing the Loring Ave. branch was a big mistake and a major hassle for those customers who appreciate good service and can't afford to lose time due to others' incompetence. Not sure that the folks who made this decision to close took into account that there was construction for years in this area. At another branch recently, I could not access the manager so spoke with someone who said that manager would call me to discuss my needs. Of course, that never happened.I can't wait to be done with this bank and hope that the next one provides better service.

Is Google actually asking me to review a bank? I guess they've never messed anything up and i feel like for stars would be rude. They are indeed a bank.

I LOVE MY BANK. I am in Europe and I don't want to opem an account here. The European banks all rip you off with fees im the vein of Sovereign or B.O.A. Eastern Bank ROCKS. It is one of the last big banks that feels like old school neighborhood banks. The managers go out of their way to help you. I mean above and beyond. Please use this bank and support them so hopefully they never change to be more like B.O.A. or dreaded Sovereign Bank. If enough people like them I hope they will see what they are doing is working and keep it this way , don't get greedy
