It took me forever to find the review page for Discover Financial Services as "Googling" for just 'Discover', or 'Discover Bank', or 'Discover Financial Services' did not bring up a Google review window, I had to open Google Maps, and there, enter "Discover Financial Services". Why did it matter and why take the time? Because I believe that companies which go above and beyond the scope of what other companies do in order to ensure great services for their customers should be rewarded with AT LEAST good reviews. This is one such company.In today's business environment where you find both people and organizations who seem to care less and less, and are in it for themselves, and who offer little-to-no customer service, Discover Financial Services is a breath of fresh air. I have had a cash-back, online checking account with them for a little under a year, and I have been extremely pleased with most every aspect of every transaction with them. The photo check deposit is as easy as it gets. A live person is available to answer questions at the touch of a few number keys. Their statements are simple and straightforward. Their terms, better than most banks. At first, I did run into a problem when using my Discover Card in that every transaction seemed to be denied, until I phoned in and proved it was me. This was frustrating to no end, and I had to call them around four times until it stopped, but I understand it was for my safety. Had it continued, it would have been a deal-breaker and I would have closed my account. Another thing, is that I like them so much, I wanted to open a joint account too, but the system precludes you from doing so if you already have an account. I phoned in to ask why and was told that until about a year ago, people would open several accounts and would just move money around for the cash-back per-transaction. Sad that some people ruined the ability of having more than one account for all of us.All-in-all, definite 5 YUGE Stars.
