Warning do not count on Discover card to help with your merchant disputes.They allowed a merchant to scam me violating Truth in Advertising laws, and other types of fraud. They made lying statements to me about that company as well as providing false information about to the company so they would win their dispute case. They also illegally coerced and threatened me by saying if I do not drop my dispute when I complained they will send this information to six credit bureaus to harm my credit rating they later told me as well as the picture below.

For over six months I’ve been trying to resolve a fraudulent transaction in my Discover Credit Card and it’s impossible to have anyone call me back or to obtain an email address so as to enable me to send a detailed email of the issue. No one will take ownership and follow up. Next move is to write a letter of complaint to the President of Discover.

I cut the card after over 10 years of awful experience with Discover Card, I am not looking back.Their fraud department is the fraud. It sends unacceptable number of false alarms. Secondly, Discover themself approve the process of letting 3rd party to prevent charges to the card for about 6 hours. Discover card has no manual override when an authenticated card holder calling them to allow a legit transaction which is within card's spending limit.CEO, business units, CIO, & IT management team are a team of failure, making big bucks, causing consumer trouble should be fired. And my credit score is near perfect.They think that is ok to run on an irresponsible business model. NO MORE.Besides, everywhere accepts VISA.

I was contacted by Discover to come in and interview for a contract role after several phone interviews. They all went well and I went in for the interview. The interview went well, but unfortunately I am not a millennial. Discover seems to discriminate against older workers with experience as they use the contractor role as a test for hiring permanent workers - which is fine. Once they see you would not fit into their long-term plans you are done. It is a shame that Discover like many companies discriminate based on age. It might be a great place to work for college kids or someone looking to 'pad' their resume.

Discover's price match benefit appears rigged to deny your claims. They declined my price match on a TV because the lower price I found included a FREE HDMI cable. I avoid using Discover whenever I can now. Very disappointed because Discover used to be my favorite CC.UPDATE 2018-10-07: Tried to open a Discover savings account and after entering all the information the website bombs with "technical difficulties". Ridiculous. Lowering to 1 star.

It took me forever to find the review page for Discover Financial Services as "Googling" for just 'Discover', or 'Discover Bank', or 'Discover Financial Services' did not bring up a Google review window, I had to open Google Maps, and there, enter "Discover Financial Services". Why did it matter and why take the time? Because I believe that companies which go above and beyond the scope of what other companies do in order to ensure great services for their customers should be rewarded with AT LEAST good reviews. This is one such company.In today's business environment where you find both people and organizations who seem to care less and less, and are in it for themselves, and who offer little-to-no customer service, Discover Financial Services is a breath of fresh air. I have had a cash-back, online checking account with them for a little under a year, and I have been extremely pleased with most every aspect of every transaction with them. The photo check deposit is as easy as it gets. A live person is available to answer questions at the touch of a few number keys. Their statements are simple and straightforward. Their terms, better than most banks. At first, I did run into a problem when using my Discover Card in that every transaction seemed to be denied, until I phoned in and proved it was me. This was frustrating to no end, and I had to call them around four times until it stopped, but I understand it was for my safety. Had it continued, it would have been a deal-breaker and I would have closed my account. Another thing, is that I like them so much, I wanted to open a joint account too, but the system precludes you from doing so if you already have an account. I phoned in to ask why and was told that until about a year ago, people would open several accounts and would just move money around for the cash-back per-transaction. Sad that some people ruined the ability of having more than one account for all of us.All-in-all, definite 5 YUGE Stars.
