Feedback:

My review is from 2016 which my family still talks about mainly because we wished we had said something back then. I come from a family of nurses and the nurses there at the time were the least compassionate group I had encountered in a facility. My dad passed away a few weeks after his hospitalization and my sister and I recalled the nurse saying when we asked for a private room because his roommate was coughing constantly that “if we were in a war he would be in a room with other people.” Well, uh we weren’t in a war. What kind of response is that? She also mentioned about how we should be grateful because everything is free. Very non therapeutic especially at a critical point of my father’s life and my family’s wellbeing. My father gave 20 years of his life to the Navy and to be told that while my father was in his last weeks is one of the things we remembered the most. I hope that if anyone reading this who works in the medical surgical floor to please remember that you should provide an environment of loving care and kindness. I think the staff needs to look at Jean Watson’s theory of human caring and subscribe to the 10 Caritas process. If you don’t know what they are look it up. I hope your staff learns from my experience....no one should ever feel like how we did. It hurt my family so much that we continue talking about it til this day.

I am still currently a patient here, and I've never really been inclined to post a google review anywhere but it has felt needed. No, nothing is as perfect as one would prefer given the fact you simply aren't in your own home. But the care and compassion I've recieved thus far has been beyond exceptional. My care team has went above and beyond in helping me and I'm so thankful to be here after being in a Sutter hospital for a week and transferred here. I've been provided more answers and explanations in general. Thank you DGMC for your kindness, compassion, knowledge and hospitality.

Feedback:

The WORST hospital I have ever, ever, EVER, been to.While being a patient at this hospital, I was pregnant more than ten times before having a successful birth. That first and only successful pregnancy I had as a patient at this hospital, came after REFUSING NEARLY ALL care from this hospital. I allowed only the following: a blood test that proved pregnancy, I allowed two ABDOMINAL ultrasounds (denied all transvaginal ultrasounds), and I allowed the "glucose test".I told the hospital I was in labor, every day for five days. Each day, they said I was WRONG and that I just dont recognize labor. Each of these days I went in, NOT ONCE did they check me for dialation. Oh, and I was ONE WEEEEEEK, a WHOLE WEEK past my due date. One of those days, they offered to give me intravenous sleeping medication. I agreed bc I hadn't slept from the pain. I called back about two hours later asking why this sleeping medication hadn't kicked in yet, and the nurse said, "I need you to come in, I cannot discuss this over the phone" (probably bc they record phone calls and didnt want to be recorded admitting what I was told when I drove back as asked: "i dont know who told you they were giving you sleeping medication... do you have allergies that need treating for some reason?" I said no. She continues, "well your chart says you were given intravenous antihistamines.... do you know why they would do that?" I was so livid.. not only did I not get a sleeping aide, I was in added pain down my entire leg and radiating around my thigh where the injection site was. Finally day five of going in, they said something about "I dont know why you're back, you know we cant do anything for ya, and you know we'll just send ya home."I said, "check my cervix at least? Please? I am in so much pain I think I am going to die. If you check my cervix, I'll go home."They check me. I was 7 cm dialated and 80-something percent effaced.I had ZERO medical care for the baby after that, and just delivered her in my bedroom. . . Wasnt worth the stress and deceit from the hospital staff here._____________________________________________

I had my bariatric surgery done here a year ago. Was treated very well. I should have joined the Air Force. My only concern is that for blood draws and IV sticks you always get E-1 E-2 training on you. I het that they need to learn somehow but they always want to stick you in the hand instead of the arm and they never get it and it ends up in your arm anyway. Still I would go here for anything. I have had scheduling issues. Young airman will call you set a time then you get there and there like we dont have you in the system would you like to schedule an appointment? And I just drove 53 miles to get there. So in true Army fashion call schedule. Call back confirm. Then day of or day before reconfirm then get the name of the person you spoke to.

Feedback:

I had 2 of my children here, and got outstanding service and treatment both times!

Feedback:

Lab service are the worst from any base I have been to. Be ready to be there at least 2 hours minimum.

Feedback:

It has the worst emergency department I waited almost 2 1/2 hours to be taken back and 2 hours to be treated. Complete waste of time.
