Feedback:

On a weekend return trip from the Outer Banks, we decided to stop by Centerville Marina. We arrived at the dealership 30-40 minutes prior to closing. Without an appointment I was expecting to be pointed in the direction of a few boats to look at and not get a lot of attention from the sales staff. Instead, my wife and I were met by Steve who walked us around the lot showing us the inventory that he had that he thought would interest us based upon what we said we were looking for. After we walked the lot and climbed aboard a handful of boats, we returned to the sales office. Steve was there along with the owner and another salesman. We chatted about customer service, boat features, and dealer expectations for nearly 30 minutes after they had closed. Afterwards my wife and I decided that a custom spec'd 2019 222 Explorer was in our future. We went home discussed the matter a bit more, went online and "built" our boat. We forwarded the build sheet to Steve, who explained the build process, lead times and deposit requirements. We promptly requested a 10% deposit check from our bank and forwarded it to Steve. He placed the order the same day. During the planned 8 week waiting period, Steve gave us regular email and text updates on our boat's status. A little before the promised 8 weeks delivery date, Steve emailed to let us know that the boat was on its way to the dealership. We arranged delivery on the following Saturday morning with hopes that the weather would cooperate. The weather that day was 80 degrees and perfect. We pulled into the dealer parking lot and spied a 222 already moored to the dock and thought is that ours? We went to the sales office to meet with Steve to complete the obligatory paperwork. Much to my surprise, we skipped the paperwork and proceeded to the dock to inspect and sea trial our boat. Steve took nearly an hour to explain our boat's features and systems before casting off. Steve was very professional during this process, assessing our boating knowledge while being careful not to make any assumptions. Afterwards we threw off the lines and took the boat for its maiden voyage. Steve, demo'd the boats handling characteristics and then turned it over to us. While operating the boat, Steve took pictures of our happy day for the scrap book. Once the test drive was done we returned to the dock and went to the sales office to complete the required paperwork, exchange the keys and checks and review all of the Robalo and Yamaha literature. All told the process from start to finish took 2 hours. Before leaving the sales office, Steve shared with us that he gets "Robalo sales points" for company apparel. He told us that he uses those for his customers to pick out Robalo swag from the online store. How cool and considerate is that! During the whole process we were well attended to and never felt rushed. Steve had another delivery after ours and had to break away, but he thoughtfully handed us off to one of his peers who assisted us in hitching the trailer up to the truck. We drove home uneventfully and a few days later received an email from Steve letting us know that our Robalo swag was ordered and asked if we had any other questions regarding our purchase. A few days later we received a sales promotional email from the dealer stating that Yamaha had a promotion to double the warranty of our motor. Steve and the title clerk were able to adjust the paperwork allowing us to take advantage of this. They didn't have to, but they did. I can't recommend Centerville marina enough. I'm a stickler for quality and customer service. Steve and the entire team at Centerville delivered on both of those fronts.

Feedback:

We dealt with Steve, Kim, and Owen. Steve listened to our wants, and needs and offered 2 options that were spot on. We ended up purchasing the Robalo 207R and we love it! Steve and the team at Centerville displayed excellent customer service skills before and after the purchase. We would refer and recommend them to friends and family without reservation. We look forward to many years of service.

Feedback:

I bought a boat from steve more than a year ago, no trailer. recent hurricane threat led me to call steve to help me get my boat out of the water and stored there in Centerville. despite my calling just days before the hurricane was to hit, he had arranged everything. outstanding customer service.

Feedback:

It has been a little over a month now since we bought our boat from Steve at Centerville. Everything was great with the delivery and post service with Centerville. They have been very responsive and helpful on any follow on items that we have needed. I would recommend them to anyone in the market for a boat!

Feedback:

The sales staff at Centerville Marina is just outstanding - we dealt with Steve and Todd and they were both great. It was our 3rd boat shopping stop and easily the farthest away from home. Went there just to look at Chaparrel boats and quickly realized we had to buy from Centerville. It was the only place we went where they seemed genuinely interested in helping us get started, not just selling us a boat. Bought a few days ago and they've already logged hours with us for in-boat training (more tomorrow). Hopefully the service department is just as good!

Feedback:

Absolutely the best around. They have my business for life. From sales to service, I have not been disappointed. First class business! Steve, we can’t thank you enough for all your help.

Feedback:

I thought I would share my personal experience not only buying a brand new Chaparral from Centerville Marina but also our first service experience when we're told we had warranty. When we went to purchase our boat we were made to feel as if it was an inconvenience asking him to install the carpet that we had paid for an additional battery terminal. We were told that our boat was ready for pickup and the service work has been done.Additionally we had an alarm going off on our boat so we took it in for service. The boat has less than 100 hours after two summers. It went in for its first set of warranty work where we are told that are a Volvo Penta engine had a failed fuel pump. Without permission Centerville Marina took it upon themselves to change out the spark plugs as they said that was regular maintenance not due to the cause of the fuel pump failing and destroying the spark plugs for dumping too much fuel into the engine. When questioned about it not only were they rude and said would you have liked your boat to just sit on the sidelines, keep in mind we were out of town for a funeral. Then they gave us runaround saying that they were going to take out the new spark plugs and no longer had our original spark plugs. I would just like to make everyone well aware that this dealership has taken advantage of one of its patrons without their consent. I will not return due to service and poor management.

Feedback:

I tell you what.... After dealing with so many different parts and service locations the customer service at the Centerville Marina is just excellent. Owen, Taylor and Randy are just great people and do everything to help you out—and with a great attitude. I appreciate customer service like this.

Feedback:

Two years ago I bought my first boat. It is a Robalo R222. The quality of the boat is beyond reproach and the company itself stands behind their product 100%. This spring I was seeing opportunity with the vinyl on the boat. Steve Joyner from Centerville Marina along with Owen took the quality issue seriously and reached out to Robalo. Within a day they responded and Robalo agreed with the quality issue and will replace the vinyl on the boat. This act alone is the reason I will never buy anything but a Robalo!! Thanks again Steve and Owen for taking care of a customer!!!

Feedback:

We’ve been working with Steve Joyner and Centerville Marine for over a year now. Yesterday everything finally came together for us and we purchased a new boat. It was a truly wonderful experience! Steve was always available to answer any questions we had, yet he was never pushy. We look forward to a wonderful relationship for years to come!
