After dealing with Beacon Credit Union with lackluster experiences for the last 8 months, I’m happy to wave goodbye! They took over the Danville City Employees’ Federal Credit Union portfolio and have absolutely failed at delivering anything that resembles customer service. Incompetent, robotic, halfhearted service reps and nickel and diming business practices are so last century. When I explained my concerns and asked the rep, Sarah, why I should consider staying, she could only speak to their “cheap” products (aka every credit union’s value proposition). These cheapskates forced me to send them a 0.68 check because they didn’t process my final payment in a timely manner (that’s right, they don’t “do” electronic payments, yet they will charge you $3 per month for a paper statement). Never felt so good to say farewell. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this hot mess express excuse of a financial institution. They get one star because zero isn’t an option. Bye, Felicia!
