I was referred to Jim and his team at Bay Equity by my realtor (so thankful for that referral). I hit them with a double whammy; very little knowledge about the home buying process AND I was a first time home buyer!!! That didn't make a difference to Jim. He walked me through every step and his assistant (Christa) explained everything to me as we went. They got to know me, my situation, what I needed, and treated me like a human being, rather than another statistic. I ran into quite a few obstacles the prevented me from getting my loan and I found myself doing everything within my power to make this happen. I also felt very supported because Jim was doing the same and putting in hours on my behalf to find a way to make it happen. I was regretfully informed that it wasn't going to happen, I would have to try again in a few months (which meant losing the home that I wanted), and even received a letter of denial in the mail. It was out of my hands at that point and I the same day I was going to throw in the towel, Jim sent me an email saying there was a possible restructure for my loan. He had found a way to get me my loan. He personally called me the day everything was finalized and told me that I was officially a home owner and my furbaby (my puppy) and I would have a new home!!! I closed on my first home last week. I can't thank Jim and his team enough for what they were able to do for me :) I am beyond thankful for everything Jim did for me and all the ways in which he went above and beyond, instead of just giving up on me and my complicated financial situation. I would recommend Jim and his team to anyone.
