Client Review on Ameris Bank

Feedback:

I had been told that as a Bank of America customer I would have no problem with my direct deposit information during the transition. It was the only reason I stayed through the transition to Ameris. Only to be called from my job that they would need my new information for my direct deposit. I was told twice prior to the transition that there would be no problem at all. Then I called Ameris Bank customer service to be kept on hold for 30 minutes. Then someone thought I wanted a Spanish interpreter when I speak English perfectly. I was kept on hold even longer. Only for the person who took my call to find out he speaks English even though she heard me the first time.Then she goes into how they are having a problem with many jobs not accepting the transition notice with the account/routing number changes. She was no help at all. I've decided to close out my account with Ameris Bank and use another bank. This is ridiculous firstly in how you deal with customers and secondly in how calling my local bank leads me right back to Ameris corporate customer service.I will never use this bank again. And I say that as someone who has never had a problem with Bank of America or any financial institution!
