Feedback:

Tl:dr AAFCU will raise your payments without informing you. Had a car loan through this company for less than a yeah. Have had to call them every month so far because of the low quality of their app and other issues. The latest one was them throwing me on their own insurance program without telling me, almost doubling my car payment. Also I already had insurance and again no one informed me. Also there employees are very unknowledgable and rude ( I went in for an app issue and the guy helping me was convinced before even really talking to me that it was all just user error) and customer service usually has to call you back because they have to “ask someone.” If you have the choice to finance through this bank, don’t. I have full intention of refinancing with a more reliable bank after I move.

The credit union sold me a terrible extended car warranty, I paid almost $2,000 for the protection of the warranty, and the warranty company refused to cover anything that went wrong with my car. I financed three cars through AAFCU. When their warranty company refused to pay for items that were clearly covered, AAFCU did not help me or back me when I needed them the most. They lost, what would have been, a life-long customer.

The staff here is unbelievably friendly, but if you are doing business through the co-op, go to your bank. They have multiple holds for different times for 1 check. I'm sure it's probably protocol, but if you need your money, skip this convenience. My paycheck is slowing being released to me in small chunks, we can't pay our bills on time this month, we can't pay our car payment, I can't go grocery shopping, and we can't buy Christmas presents like we wanted this weekend. These holds were never explained to me when I made my deposit, it has truly impacted our lives negatively for simple convenience. Goodness knows when we'll receive our money, hopefully we have no emergencies come up.
