The single smartest thing I did when starting my business was to move into the Business Development Center. The price is affordable. The amenities are second to none. Olga has been a great resource and advised and helped me for the past 3 years. I love having my office based there and hope to be there a lot longer. There aren't many places that offer free or at a nominal price fundamental courses on how to start and grow a small business. Upper Coastal Plain Business Development Center is one of those, and it's right here in Historic Downtown Wilson. My husband and I own Lovely Interiors a block from the Development Center and we have greatly benefited from taking several courses there. The instructors are highly knowledgeable about and know how to deal with the daily challenges of operating a small business. If you have a small business or are thinking about starting one, I highly recommend the Development Center. It also offers office space and other support for new businesses.
