Worst bank ever. Told me 3 different things then acted like they had no clue what I was talking about or who I talked to when I called back.

We have banked here since it was King George State Bank, a very long time. Today I closed my account very frustrated . This account was used primarily for hiding money. The past few years have been tough and I forgot about the account as I was in another state taking care of a loved one. This April I received a call that they had a cashiers check for me, but until last week when they called again I was not able to get there. Once I got there I learned the check was from a Christmas club account and the date on it was October 2017. Yet I learned nothing about this until April 2018.Then I learned that I had a nice amount in the checking account but it was dormant in order to get this I would have to reopen the account. So, I did only to learn that every month since July 2017, they took a $10 dormant fee out of the account. Please keep in mind during this time I DID NOT receive anything, no statement, no letter advising me of the dormant status, nothing and u have lived at the same address for many years!2 representatives from the bank informed me that their customers have not been receiving their mail from them so they were no longer even mailing atm cards out, you have to pick them up! Knowing this they refused to refund me all of the fees they took. So, needle to say I closed my account and will give all of my business to my other bank. Please don't allow this to happen to you. I'm filling formal complaints with the correct organizations, for several reasons why would they give me the money from the Christmas club account and not the other and because they know there is a problem with their customers receiving mail which I happen to have been one of them so why not refund the fees and keep a customer?Review revised after a customer advocate for the bank reached out and researched my account found my mail was returned, which the local branch already knew, and I've been at the same address for years. Scott was super helpful, returned my feed, and we reopened my account. Thank you again Scott I appreciate your going the extra mile!
