The Chamber hosts excellent events to help businesses promote their products, such as the annual Expo and Meet The Buyers. Plus they really helped me launch my business with a ribbon cutting ceremony when we opened.

Since returning to Traverse City, I have benefited from the plethora of Chamber activities! There is always something that a business (regardless of their size) in our area can utilize from the Chamber to grow their business. These can range from the Business After Hours networking events, use of the Blue Room conference meeting space, Fuse events or one of my favorites: Leadership at the Movies. The Chamber staff is hard working and dedicated to thoughtful growth of our area and the members it serves.

When our first company was a startup in Traverse City, the Traverse City Area Chamber's events and committees were key for us building relationships. Over the past 14 years, as that business grew and evolved and we launched another, our Chamber membership continues to pay dividends. Our employees take advantage of professional development and community development programs like Leadership Grand Traverse. CEO Roundtable is a bargain compared to other executive leadership peer groups and our group members provide us sound advice every single month. If that all didn't more than cover the nominal cost of membership, the very nice meeting rooms available to members definitely does. Most of all, many clients, business associates, and longtime friends have come from Chamber connections.

I joined the TC chamber of commerce 4 months ago to make relationships in the community and to grow my business. The resources, friendliness, and helpfulness of the chamber and its members has been remarkable! The events are always incredible and the people are top notch. If you are a young professional join the Young Professionals, you will love it.For everyone new to the Grand Traverse region and interested in developing great professional relationships and personal friends than there is no question about joining the Chamber of Commerce. The chamber recommended the Grand Traverse Motel to us as a nice place to stay, and within walking distance to downtown. Boy did they lie, the hotel is 1 to 1.5 miles from downtown, most people cant walk that far, and if you did, ate and had a couple of drinks, who wants to walk that far back?????????? The hotel room is small, old tv, no shampoo, no Kleenex, what a dump. So don't believe the chamber for its false advertisement, its not a nice place. I wont trust them again, or be back, what a rip off.
