Feedback:
I blame myself for letting the salesperson here (David Mahoney) coerce me into buying a sub par camera system that I later found to be of the lowest price available. Sometime later, I got a call from the owner looking for information and receipts on how much I've paid for the system installation as he, Matthew DiMicco, was actually suing his former? employee for some reason he didn't care to explain.I must admit, I was happy at first with the system installed. That is until the cheap rate equipment (DVR) I purchased from Total broke down within the first two years of use and the tech they sent could not fix it. First they wanted to charge me $90/hr or so to come and take a look at it. After much kicking and screaming on my part, the owner finally agreed to sent someone without charge who made and effort to fix but eventually gave up and left the system inoperable. I had to buy another DVR $110 and pay someone else $350. To get everything back to work. I paid over $2800 (5 cameras , I requested 1080p cameras which I was told they were only to find out they were not so later, 1 DVR, I had to buy an additional router, $55 myself just for the cameras!, a security box, and other miscellaneous equipment) I know you have to paid for labor but at this rate their margins are higher than most doctors and lawyers in the area. The markups are also huuuge too. I did some research and found the same DVR model installed was $65, cameras $35 a piece, security box was $90. You are better off buying something at Costco and installing yourself! I did explain all this to Mr. Dimicco. I am always up for supporting a local business but I will not be giving Total Security another chance.
