Feedback:

It is what it is. A smallish regional pseudo community bank. I've been customer of one of the community banks they swallowed up for 20 years and while I don't really have any serious complaints yet, I do have one minor complaint. When I go into the branch or drive through teller, I would really prefer if you didn't look at my balance and start making unsolicited recommendations on what I should do with that money. When I want your money management advice, I'll ask you for it. I realize some people might think it's helpful but I think it's an invasion of privacy and a waste of time to have to explain why I want or need that much money in my checking account. It's my money, if I want to keep that much in a checking account where it's not bearing interest, that's my prerogative. Keep your nose out of it.

Feedback:

If you value your time and money, seek out an alternative bank. I had banked with Synovus for 6+ years. In an attempt to consolidate our accounts, my wife and I began transferring to Citizens First in Rome Ga. Each interaction we had with Citizens First yielded a new issue. After a month of not being able to fully access our funds, we decided to close our accounts with Citizens First and subsequently Synovus.

Feedback:

Has been a great bank for me to start out on. I have had no problems in 2 years

Feedback:

(NOTE: I am posting this to this location as well as our local branch because the problem listed involves the online banking and is relevant to all branches of this bank)We have banked here for many years but have encountered a problem which will probably see us moving to another bank. The balances that you see with their version of online banking DO NOT MATCH the balances that the bank uses to assess overdraft fees. We have two items, an automated payment and a check card purchase that show clearly on our online banking ledger as having cleared with a balance. Yet, we get an overdraft notice that these did not clear and have been charged $72 in fees which we are in the process of trying to get refunded. Clearly there is a problem with their system and we simply cannot trust it now to give us an accurate balance. Unfortunately, we will be looking to bank elsewhere now.
