The absolute worst experience going into a library ever..working for a library I know that I could get a library card in Atlantic county..so I run in and the lady downstairs tells me to go upstairs..so I do..and the woman who was making my card was an absolute disgrace to work with..was unhelpful...and when I stated I would was a recipricol borrower from another county..she told me that she may not be able to do it because there are some counties they don't borrow from..I then was stating that I was from cape May and they do borrow..but I couldn't even get that out before she put a hand up to me and completely ignored what I said..I was shocked at this..seeing as how I work for a library and showed her my county ID as a form of ID and she looked over and started talking about the counties they could borrow from..I then tried to say..Well I don't live in Avalon or Ocean City but still she ignored me and proceeded to keep asking the same question to a CO worker before being satisfied with the answer they gave she rolled her eyes and handed me a form to fill out..so I did..and she took the form and gave me my library card..as I stood there not knowing their procedures on making library cards..after a moment she sneers at me and says.."You don't have to stand over me..but just don't use the card for 10 minutes..goodbye.." nothing on how many books I can take out or where to go to look for books or If I had any questions..I walked out disgusted by this woman and her manners...I will never ever recommend this library for anyone..go to a different branch!!!!!!! This one has distasteful people.

I enjoy the ventnor branch & the Galloway branch. Then I moved to Somers point. The librarian upstairs is always very salty to me. Other people walk in & she's very happy to see them. It has been 3x now. At first I thought she was just having a bad day. I am polite & courteous. Maybe I should send her flowers or cat food.
