They stole from me. Recently, my family flew from the east coast to North Hollywood for a surprise visit. With them, they brought several gifts including two gift cards to a restaurant that was too far to possibly get to due to the fact that I don't own a vehicle. I decided to try and sell them at SCR, and had the worst customer experience of my life. They immediately took the gift cards and my driver's license when I arrived, and were friendly enough at first. After they had disappeared into the back with my gift cards for over 20 minutes, they began asking me "security questions" for another 10 minutes which included my mother's maiden name, my father's full name, if I had any siblings and their names, any recent addresses, the last four digits of my social security number and more. After I had answered all of these questions he suddenly told me that he couldn't take the cards due to my out of state license being a state that he couldn't accept gift cards from... fair enough right? So I went home and soon noticed that the pin numbers from the back of the card we're scratched off, and I decided to check the balance just in case and they we're all $0. They're nothing but cheap criminals. Since this incident I have had many others reach out and tell me about similar incidents where they had money stolen from them as well. Due to the scale of SCR's criminal behavior in North Hollywood, California we are creating a page that will stop at nothing to bring them down and put them in jail for a long time.
