40 years ago when this place was built. They agreed to maintain the public access trail to the jetty that crossed this property. Now it no longer exists. You have to walk the sand along the surf about a mile to get there.

Sailfish is a wonderful place to live and work. We have several employees that have been here over 20 years and enjoy working here. We have lived here for many years and love it.

DO NOT RISK WORKING HERE IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY TO SUPPORT!My husband worked for them this year as a armed security officer , unfortunately days before his 90-Day Probationary period they fired him.He never had issues with any of his previous employers, he works hard and has received several employee of the month awards. His immediate Female Supervisor gave him a hard time everyday. They made him go in and work the day they decided to fire him, their explanation: "You are not a good fit for this position."I would say he had two flaws in those 90 days which was not mentioned as a problem the day he was fired:One day he arrived late because I got stuck at work with a emergency (Certified Nurse Assistant) which I could not leave until relieved. The 2nd problem was that his uniform was "wrinkled" which he got written up for it many days after the problem surfaced.I personally ironed his clothes all the time, since this was an issue we toke it to the dry cleaners. His immediate Female Supervisor gave him a hard time the next day and said it was still not well ironed. After this we had a plan we washed and did not iron or dry clean his uniform, he went into work with his uniform and asked how he looked expecting a negative outcome he was told his uniform was fine and well ironed that day, but she still wrote him up for the previous encounters.This immediate Female Supervisor picked on him everyday he came in, I have never seen my husband more miserable heading to work.She made comments about his speech, his "unprofessional demeanor" , his level of speed to get the job done, threaten him to learn all the residents names "or else", put him down if he didn't know how to spell residents last names which vary, example:Stuart, Stewart. This was very unfair. They were aware when they officially hired him that he was giving a 2 week notice to his previous job and when ahead hire and fired him.I believe he was discreetly used to cover for the fast pace seasonal time when the snow birds come to Florida and when they realized things got slower they fired him and excused him as not a good fit.He had politely asked to be given a day off for OUR SON'S 1st birthday party which was a big deal and they declined it. A memory for our family was lost and they fired him anyways, he didn't call off, knowing he had sick day but in order to protect his job, that fed his children he went to work.My husband was hired February 6, 2017 and was fired April 27, 2017, he currently has not found another job due to the slow work season.The month of May, June and now July has been extremely rough for us.I used to work 20 hours WEEKLY and now I work 68 to 72 hours WEEKLY just to break even, my job is not at all stable because my client is leaving soon to rehab.I want to personally thank Sailfish Point for taking the food away from my children's plate.

Years ago I used to visit their clubhouse. That place is amazing. Great food and service.
