I wrote to the BBB to assist in resolving a complaint with a property manager in regards to a security deposit issue. I attached evidence, sent records and email conversations. The BBB got a response from the property management company, asked me if I accepted or rejected the review and then promptly closed the complaint even though I rejected the response from the property management company. I then responded to an email from the BBB and informed them that this issue was unresolved and the response that was received from the property management company was unrelated. After waiting another week I got a response back that there was nothing that they could do because it had to do with an old property management company, which is false. This was a waste of my time and I no longer have trust that the BBB is a competent organization that will help resolve issues.

My wife and I have use the Better Business Bureau personally for decades. For my business it is an essential tool for our customers and has been in the 15 years I have been working with Customers all over the north west. I train all my sales people to refer all potential clients to the better business bureau and use it in our presentations 100%if the time. The BBB offers all of our customers with a clear and accurate snapshot of our company.
