I personally think that RCU is the most worthless bank not only in river falls wi but wherever they r located.the staff r all ignorant and just plain lazy.if I could close my stupid account there I would they say I must leave 5 bucks in there well they can keep the five bucks and piss on them.they should shut their doors for good

If you are thinking about opening a new bank account and you are an American I say go ahead, it will be great. But, if you are an immigrant like me this is not the bank for you. They are going to make you feel looked down at it. I have been planning to make a trip with my family and needed a document for passport to be notarized, I brought the paperwork over to the same bank I have been banking for 4 years now and they refused to notarize because "they didn't feel comfortable". Not feeling comfortable is a very vague statement I thought. I then called the bank headquarters and they said I had the right to a translator to translate de document and then the bank tellers could actually make a more knowledgeable decision about notarizing the document or not.I received a phone call from the bank the following morning in which they told me not to bother to stop by the bank because regardless of the document being translated or not they were set on "not feeling comfortable to notarize the paper".Well, I called the headquarters again and they backed up the bank notaries instead of me, a valuable 4 year customer. What happened here is that the bank refused to even understand the piece of paper, which was a pretty simple one. How can you make a decision based on unknow? Wouldn't a good bank try to look further in? If you already decided "not to feel comfortable" with me everything else is pointless then. The River Falls RCU branch "doesn't feel comfortable" with my immigrant status, I know that the RCU bank as a whole "doesn't feel comfortable" to treat me with the same rights as of an American customer. So, for you fellow not American in River Falls stay away from RCU. They will look down on you. Now, I feel COMFORTABLE to say that I am switching banks soon. My family and I are moving to a bank that is more cultured and open minded to all different types of people.

For some reason I have made the mistake of using large corporate banks most of my life. My wife and I last banked at a place that rhymes with Dells Bargo. We left for some of the shady stuff they were doing to their customer. Fast forward to us going to RCU. I have never had a better experience with a banking/credit union. THese guys are super friendly and really go above and beyond to give every member a good experience.
