Client Review on Riverbank Mortgage, LLC
Feedback:
Looking at purchasing property in another state and the first question I'm asked is, "Do you have family in this state? Why are you moving here?" Umm, I'm 48 years old, long since moved out of mommy's house. I can move away from family. I was told we must have a job in an area before being pre-approved. So, despite my disability pay being able to cover the mortgage for property and my working from home, I was told my HUSBAND must have a job in the area. Welcome to the 1950's, where I must live near family and my husband must have a job in the area. It doesn't matter if it's a vacation home to start with. I was never asked if I was employed. Only if my husband was. So we can be pre-approved, but only if my HUSBAND is already employed in the area. I guess I'll go call Wally and Beaver inside, put my pearls and heels on and get my husband's slippers and pipe ready when he comes home from work.We will contact a different lending institution. I'm curious what you tell those who are retired or want property for hunting property? Do you demand they need a job there? All we are wanting was acreage to build a cabin. My truck payments are more than the payments for several pieces of land. Yet you won't even check our credit or income or how much we are using as a down payment. Just, "Do you have family?" I guess that was my disqualifying factor, since that was your first question and your manor changed when I said no.Update: Lowered my review to one star, because you telephoned me, insisting that I take down my review and trying to guilt-trip me saying you have a family to feed and my review doesn't help that.I have a family to care for as well. Yet you made snap judgements about me, talked over me several times, to the point I had to tell you to be quiet and let me speak for a change. You never let me tell you the property we were looking at was for a vacation home. You kept insisting my husband had to have a job in the area and refused to listen to what I was saying. No, you cannot go back and make this right. As I said, first impressions are lasting impressions. Perhaps your next customer, you will give a chance to let them speak, rather than talk over them. You did that with the first call and again with the call just now, when you asked I take down my poor review.
