In taking a home equity loan, they never checked to see if the documents they requested were uploaded into their system. I constantly had to call them and they would tell me they never received them, however, they would then look and the documents were there. This happened several times. Would be hard for me to recommend them.

This may sound misogynistic, but if you call for help and get a woman they bend over backwards to help you. If you get a man they seem mostly interested in getting you off the phone as quickly as possible.Not sure if this is a gender thing or a company culture thing.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this bank! Been banking with them since I was a teenager! From basic accounts to a credit card, to line of credit, to a car loan, to a HELOC...I have had a positive experience with it all! Love that they know who I am and have watched my kids grow! My kids love the stickers/attention from tellers and free member ice cream in the summer. Really wish they would consider offering business banking even if just savings and checking accounts for small businesses! I hate that I had to put my business account elsewhere as we grew and needed my finances separate. Would highly recommend them to anyone!

PFCU had pre-aproved me for an auto loan and when I went to go and get the check to buy the car, they had added extra conditions and lowered my approved rate by over 20%. I contacted the branch manager and he fixed this mistake. Had it not been for him I wouldn't have a car.

I no longer live in NY, but I wouldn't change banks for anything. They have always responded quickly to any question or request that I have had. I have never had a negative experience with this bank. Great people!
