Overall Feedback:
DON’T GET OVERDRAFT PROTECTION....My family has done business with PCCU in Tomahawk for well over 20 years and I have known Jack Mikunda (CFO at PCCU) since I was teenager in his wife’s 4H program. My parents also live just down the road from Mr. Mikunda as well. I have always felt that PCCU was familiar, safe and still the small town bank I remembered from then until these last few weeks. We decided to try their overdraft protection after a phone call from PCCU. At the time we were transferring money quite frequently from our savings to checking using our phone app to help our checking out between paydays. What we found out as weeks went by was frustrating to say the least. 1) our savings account froze... couldn’t transfer any money by ATM my phones banking app, or even at the teller window without authorization. This happen due to a max number of Transfers that we hit in a 3O day period. 2). This Frozen state lasts for 1yr from when it goes into effect. So every time I transfer money from savings or withdrawal I wait for 5+ mins for a PCCU supervisor’s override.3) the only way I can fix this is to close and create a new account. Seems easy but I would also need to change all my information at work for dispersement of my check.4) best part for last... YOU GET FINED...$32. Before we started overdraft protection, our debit card would stop the transaction due to insufficient funds, but now.... it allows the transaction to go through... I was charged $32 twice in one day... once for $37.00 in gas and the other for a $3.47 purchase. The most frustrating thing... I Had $400 in my savings.... arrrrgh!😤. The teller that delivered this news to me when I stopped in was very understanding, but the supervisor had no empathy at all. When I asked to speak to Jack, who was in today, to see if he could rectify the situation Jack had an unexpected meeting. He also did not call after his meeting or return my call.My business is gone and so is the warm fuzzy feeling.
