Got approved for then denied a loan all because nobody bothered to notice the area I live is outside thier area of service. Feel like thats a pretty easy thing to check from the beginning and a pointless waste of two weeks of my time. Screwed up the purchase of a car that I really really needed to happen and I have to start over again from scratch.

I’ve been using this bank for a few years now and their customer service is great. I went in today to utilize their free notary service and the banking manager that helped me and further explained some of the documents was fantastic!

New to the Missoula Montana area, and with a strong preference for credit unions, I selected the Missoula Federal Credit Union as my business banking institution of choice. My first experience was on a Tuesday morning - I went in to open an account and sat there, with no one in waiting in line in front of me, to see a personal banker, and finally left. I returned the next day and didn't wait very long (no customers in the building) and met with a personal banker/financial rep of the Missoula Federal Credit Union. I had all of my paperwork in order to open a business account, and I did. Since then, the bank has come back to me no less than 3 times needing information that they had already gathered from me. Information such as my social security number, and other bits - bottom line, they are unorganized.The very last time they needed something, it required my wet signature. Due to living over an hour outside of town, and working and attending graduate school, I haven't made the time to go by their branch and sign any paperwork. As a result I've received scathing phone calls and emails from the "financial representative" that opened my account initially. This was the last straw and I am closing my account. I can't speak for personal accounts, but I encourage business owners to be wary of banking with this institution.EDITED AND UPDATED: I am very impressed. A manager called me directly regarding this Google Review to learn more about what happened. I was going to delete this review altogether, but have think the recovery by the institution is important to note. I have decided to raise the rating from 1 to 4 stars, and I will keep my account active.
